*This is just an experimental short diary entry about a substantially underestimated character called Bree Tanner. I hope to add to this story so I hope you like it! Please let me know, your feedback means the world to me!*

Dear Diary,

Today, it was my first hunt. I was teamed up with Riley, Raoul, Fred and Diego so I guess I wasn't that worried about getting caught killing humans…. I'm starting to sound like the rest, aren't I? I'm already referring innocent civilians as simply 'humans'. Just a couple of weeks ago I was a human…God, that word is so impersonal and tedious it makes me …. I don't know. I'm just so hungry I can't even think. My throat is so dry I can't even speak.

While I was walking through the eldritch forest with my group I silently observed them individually from the back. I've discovered that Raoul is an incompetent moron. I can't really say much else about him except that I loathe him. I feel quite comfortable in Fred's presence, not just because he would be the type of person who would be able to defend all of us (yes, all of us. I swear he is like 6"5!) If anything went wrong during a hunt. He is also, surprisingly, very benevolent. It makes me think about how he would have been before he was changed. Riley, the (kind of) leader, is short-tempered and just plain evil. He doesn't care about any of us, even though he was the person who ruined our lives; He took us out of normality and into supernatural. We try and please him but he wants too much. We can't be like him or whoever the person is that he looks up to either. The last person in our hunting group was Diego. He was sweet and handsome and made me feel… alive. I felt butterflies in my stomach every time his dark, curly hair gracefully swayed in the light breeze. Even his eyes, although blood red, seemed unlike ours. They were alluring…prepossessing…sparkling.

While the rest of them were fighting over a prostitute (not something I usually say) Diego and I withdrew from the group and began hunting on our own. As we were searching, he recited the three rules of hunting: Kill only the worthless, do not leave a trail and most importantly, hide the bodies. Believe it or not that's the most broken rule. We heard some drunks fighting by the alleyway and we immediately darted towards them. I think I might spare the details; I don't really want to relive it.

After our feed, Diego started talking to me about his past life. I didn't really hear a word he was saying because I was too busy gazing at his enchanting face. I almost had to slap myself in the face and tell myself off for acting like a hormonal, stereotypical teenager.

As we walked, or rather climbed our way back we heard screeching coming from the hide-out. Riley was hysterical! He had just read the paper, and the missing persons list was rising substantially. He told us to start being more careful. He showed us how serious he was by grabbing the closest person to him and tearing her up like a jigsaw puzzle. I would be more phased by this if he hadn't have done it to at least 7 of us. I don't understand how he can help create us and then finish us off the second he gets angry. We're just his play-things; nothing more. After his tantrum, he told us about a coven in our area; "The Cullen's". As he took out a red blouse, the powerful scent of a human filled the room. He told us about a human that is with the coven and that we simply must kill her…..

Well, once more, I must go hunting. Hopefully Diego will talk to me again….

Love, Bree xx
