A/N - How sad was tonight's episode? I cried, a lot. Jacqueline broke my heart. Anyway, random post break-up fic here. 4 parts I think maybe? Let me know what you think xo

"I'm sorry you two couldn't sort things out." Alice mumbled to her elder brother who was just sat staring at his drink next to her, Lucy their friend sat the other side. He broken up with Lauren a few days before, and hadn't yet snapped out of his miserable mood. "I know this sucks right now, but it's for the best Joey." Lucy added.

Alice called Jay and Dexter over to join them, as Tyler & Whit arrived too, Dexter moving over but Jay standing where he was. Dexter pulled a face. "Bruv?" Jay shrugged. "She's a wreck." He said looking at Joey, everyone knowing he was talking about Lauren. "Abs would kill me if she saw me sat with you guys, firmly on Team Lauren." He raised an eyebrow. "Sorry."

The group mindlessly chatted for a while, trying to engage Joey in conversation with no such luck. Alice was unsure what exactly had happened if she was honest. All she knew was that her brother was heart-broken and she hadn't seen Lauren since, she knew Joey was the one who had decided to end it though. The only explanation she got was a "It's just complicated Al. Drop it yeah?" before he sloped back off to bed.

Alice was the first to spot Tanya walk in to the Vic, scanning the pub for Joey. "I will say this once and only once." Tanya came up to the table, glare fierce on her face. "You stay the hell away from my daughter" Alice went to defend him, but the look from Tanya stopped her. "You don't get to just change your mind in a few weeks like you did last time okay Joey?" she said sternly.

"Tan?" Max called from behind her. "He's broken your daughter's heart." Spinning back to them, she carried on. "Again." She took a deep breath. "She's at home, sobbing her heart out because of you." Her gaze softened slightly, looking at him look just as heart-broken as her daughter looked.

"I'll pick up the pieces, try and make her whole again." She sighed. "Just stay away from her now."

"Mum." Abi came rushing in, gaining everyone's attention, as she was out of breath having run straight across the Square. "Lauren's gone."
