"Jaina! I didn't mean to call you that over the com link. I swear! It was a slip of the tongue. Besides, you said that channel was secure, so don't blame everything on me!"
Jaina Solo, Sword of the Jedi and Lieutenant Colonel of the Twin Suns Squadron glared at her fiancé as she pulled off her boots, sorely tempted to throw them at him.
Jagged Fell sighed as he stormed off towards to mall kitchen unit.
He had been apologising to her since they had gotten back to the base, practically on his knees as she had marched down the corridors with a mad sense of determination in her step and eyes.
He knew that she had every right to be angry with him, more like pissed, because he had accidentally called her what he only called her in private.
"Jaina please, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it." He heard a bang of one of the plastic mugs hitting the surface of the counter. Jaina really was pissed. Yeah she had a temper occasionally, but rarely did she bang things on the counter or hit things.
He stood in the doorway to the kitchen, watching her as she stood there, staring at the counter, breathing heavily as she leant against the cool wood.
"I am the commander of a squadron. I have to set an example." He sighed again, a smile slowly spreading across his face. That was the Jaina he knew, or part of her. The other part of Jaina didn't care what the squadron know, but this professional side of her did.
Slowly, he wrapped his arms around her waist, softly kissing her hair.
"I'm starting to think you've been spending too much time around me. Where's the Jaina that didn't care who knew and who thought that it would be a un idea to leave my clothes in," She stopped him in time, gently leaning back against his chest, looking up at him. He grinned down at her, kissing her forehead.
"Come on Jaina, the squadron doesn't care, they know about us anyway." She just smiled, causing him to wrap his arms tighter around her.
"It won't happen again," he murmured, brushing his lips over the top of her ear, making her shiver.
"It better not. I hear the Aces want a new training officer." He grinned, that was the Jaina he loved and was engaged to.
She turned herself around in his arms, gently planting a sweet kiss on his lips while her arms snaked around his neck, their argument completely forgotten.
