A Twisted Emotion Called Love
I stumble back and wince in pain,
I don't dare get back up again.
When you aim and shoot your bow,
It goes through me and deep into my soul.
I can take the strikes and blood,
But not the way you tore my love.
"Die Inuyasha!" You command and aim,
I never thought that you'd betray.
The arrow pierces through the air,
I look at you with pure despair.
The arrow slashes through my chest,
Pinning me to a tree where I shall rest.
The Shikon Jewel slips out of my grasp,
It flies through the air and lands on the grass.
"Kikyo…" My voice is weak,
My throat hurts and I can hardly speak.
"How could you betray me, so?
I love you, my dear Kikyo!"
My vision blurs and all things freeze,
I lose all feeling in my hands, arms and knees.
"Kikyo…" I cry,
"Oh how, oh how, could you possibly lie?"
You said that we were both the same,
Yet here I am, hurt and ashamed.
I hate you and crave your life,
Yet, I love you, and need you to be my wife.
No matter what you do to me,
I'll love you unconditionally.
Kikyo, Kikyo, precious, treasured love,
I'll protect you from my place above.
Kikyo, Kikyo, hear my plea,
Why, oh why, did you betray me?
