To her, everything was a competition, a chance to improve, to better herself, and perhaps that was why she was such a valuable member to their superhero team. Firefly pushed herself fo hard beyond anything holding her back and dreamed of being just as good as Rena Rouge was, the newest member to join before she did, and even better.
Firefly set big dreams and goals for herself since joining their team and worked so hard for their sake. To defeat an Akuma was a challenge for her, how fast could she go, how could she better help them out, what was the best course of action, and while she mostly relied on instinct, you could tell when she'd seen something like a pattern or a familiar way of an Akuma fighting and use it to know how to better handle the Akuma to defeat him or her quicker.
Even now, she'd thrown herself forward with determination, and though it was just a patrol with her cat themed super partner, she pushed herself. The race to the Eiffel Tower felt more intense after a long patrol, like finally releasing pent up energy, pushing yourself, and falling into it enough to relax. Firefly though looked as if she were gliding on air, hovering just above the rooftops, and he couldn't help even as Firefly won to briefly admire her grace.
"So do you want to race again on our next patrol together, just the two of us?" Firefly asked, and since learning her identity, he couldn't help but admire how perfectly blended together both halves of her life were. Alix seemed to really shine as a superhero, shine in her suit, and he couldn't help but admire as her competitive nature and her confidence became a defining part of Firefly, something that made her more than just an ordinary or incredible superhero. She became almost a shining beacon to Paris in her own way, an inspiration that hard work really did pay off, and he couldn't help but just appreciate all of that even just a little though he figured that his admiration may have been slightly tinted due to what they'd become a little more recently.
"Sure, but doesn't the winner deserve a kiss at least?" Cat Noir tried, staring up at her with bemused kitty eyes, and though Alix was the winner, he'd gladly take on giving her her prize.
"From the loser?" Firefly teased, eyes twinkling, "Because wouldn't that be a reward for you too? How am I ever going to get you to try harder and get better?" She did flutter closer, and he moved to meet her there as Paris slept on around them, lights twinkling and glowing where they were.
"Even so, the winner deserves something, and I brought my kisses along today." Cat Noir felt anticipation pool in his belly.
"Okay." Alix laughed as she shook her head, but she did press up against him, sealing the deal with a kiss, and Cat Noir felt his belly erupt as if she'd set forth a chain or even hoard of fireflies loose within it. He could kiss her all day, and even so, he could feel her competitive nature kick it up a notch as she pushed on to be the leader of the kiss, and he'd only pretend to try to remain in control. He never minded letting her take the lead as his clawed hands looped around her waist and pulled her closer.
No matter what competition, he'd always cherish her through the end. Alix meant the world to him, fiery spirit and all, and surely, she definitely deserved way more than just one victory kiss. She'd worked so hard and did so well in the race that he'd gladly shower her in at least a million more kisses if she'd let him.
