Sam scrolled through the Google search pages looking for a new job. Dean was sprawled on the couch, watching some action movie like his own life didn't already have enough of it. Cas, when he last checked, was already asleep in one of the bedrooms upstairs. The fallen angel had needed a lot of sleep after his fall and everything that had happened, so they mostly let him rest and lounge around, and he'd try to help when needed.
Something caught his eye as he panned down the page. A fan page for the Supernatural books. He had noticed that Chuck's books had grown in popularity recently, but he hadn't had the time to check anything out. So, being bored with looking up jobs, he clicked on the link. Which may have been a severely bad idea.
The homepage featured a collage in the shape of a heart, using fan art that resembled Dean and Cas. As he scrolled down, he saw pictures of very explicit gay porn featuring his brother and the angel. Sam's face turned red as he read some of the comments and avoided clicking more links.
"Dean!" He called, looking over at his brother, trying to erase the images of fan art that were burned inside his head.
"What?" Dean asked, not looking away from the movie.
"You know Chuck's books?"
"Yeah, and I know about the crazy fans too."
"There's more of them, and they seem to like a different 'ship' now."
"What's 'ship' mean again?" Dean asked, sitting up and looking back, over the couch, to his brother.
"Like a relationship'."
"What is it then?"
"It's called Destiel. Uh, you and Cas." Since Dean was silent, Sam continued, "The fans say it's 'practically canon', which is like, being written in. They say there's a huge homoerotic subtext to your relationship with him, and that it's obvious."
"Well, fuck," his brother murmured.
"Do you have anything to tell me, Dean?" The younger Winchester teased.
"I didn't really want to tell you this way, but I'm bi."
Sam stared, wide-eyed at his brother, "What?"
"Yeah. And I really do like Cas that way."
"How come thousands of teenage girls could tell, but not me?"
"You need to get your gaydar fixed, apparently," Dean joked.
The end credits for the movie started playing, so the older brother stood and stretched, "I think I'll get some sleep, 'night Sammy."
Sam was left downstairs, pondering how on Earth he missed that, while his brother climbed the stairs to go to bed. He stopped instantly when he saw that Cas was standing on the top stair with wide eyes and a hint of a smile.
"You heard?"
Cas nodded, an adorable, bright smile sprang to his lips. "I like you too, Dean."
"You know I meant...romantically, right?"
Dean's little angel nodded again, then said, "I guess this makes us canon?"
((So yeah, I made this. Is it okay?))
