Nick shifted gears, pulling the car into reverse as it churned into life and went backward as Nick pressed down on the gas petal. Turning now, he pulled out of the garage, followed by a big, black SUV much like the one he was in. He pulled into the three-car tow, following after the other SUV that Grissom and Sarah were in.
Greg sat in the passengers' seat, and he looked over to Nick with a little smile on his face. Nick put his hand down on the block between them, glancing over to Greg at a stoplight. Greg smiled again, and reached for Nick's hand. He grasped it in his, then the two kissed quickly, turning back to the road as Grissom's SUV started off again at the green light.
..::WMW::..
What had happened to start this all, you ask? Well, it went something like this…
"I need you all for something," said the message that buzzed into Nick's pocket. He pursed his lips as he read the message, walking out of the DNA lab with Greg at his tail. Greg scooted up to his side as Nick closed his phone, putting in his pocket. He smiled at Greg lovingly, and Greg smiled back, his fingers now interlocking with Greg's.
They stepped into Grissom's office, their hands no slipping apart as they came in. Sarah, Catherine and Warrick were all there already, watching Greg and Nick as they stepped in, not seeing their once interlocked hands. Nick and Greg walked up, joining the semi-circle around Grissom's desk, all awaiting Grissom now.
Grissom stepped into his office and everyone turned to him. Grissom was looking at a paper, stepping with one foot in the air, as he stepped into his now-clustered office. He pursed his lips quickly, then looking back down to his papers, walking over to his desk, everyone's eyes on Grissom. Grissom put down the papers and looked to them, clapping his hands together.
"Two words: Road and trip." Grissom said, and Greg cheered silently at first, but then joined in the crew's questionable, loud: "Road trip?!"
