Ginny slowly opened her eyes and her bit of peace and quiet ended. She was fully clothed and when she glanced at the clock, it showed only 1 in the afternoon. She pulled herself up, and stretched, making the most of the empty bed. She suspected Harry was in his office with Lily, because the baby wasn't in her crib at the end of her parent's bed.

Ginny rolled out and walked out into the hallway, making her way to Harry's office. When she reached the door, she heard soft 'puffs' emanating from inside, and Harry's low voice speaking softly.

"What colour next James?" Ginny heard him ask. So James was in there too, she noted.

"Green" she heard her eldest son reply. After hearing James' happy giggles, Ginny decided to open the door a margin and peep inside. The sight within made her melt with love. Her husband and all three children were on their backs in the middle of room, heads together, watching as Harry made clouds of coloured smoke swirl out of the end of his wand. 8-month-old Lily was giggling as she reached up chubby fists trying to grab the smoke. 2-year-old Albus was gazing up fascinated, as the smoke dissolved into the air, and 5-year-old James was requesting colours for his father to do next.

"Colours together" Al chimed, interrupting his brother. James laughed as Harry shot a rainbow into the air, and lept onto his feet, chasing after it. Al's eyes followed James around the room, deciding against following his brother.

"And what colour would Lily-Lu like?" Harry asked, tickling his daughter's tummy. She gave a gummy grin and grabbed his hair.

"Lily-lu no speak yet silly Daddy" giggled Al, moving his head to be closer to his sister.

"Ok then, what colour do you think she would like" Harry grinned back, detaching Lily from his hair.

"Pink," said James, coming back to join in the conversation, "because she's a girl" Ginny snorted slightly as covered her mouth. Harry looked up at the door, and saw Ginny standing there.

"Hiya Mummy, care to join us?" he asked, extending a hand as he lay on the floor.

"You know what, I think I might" Ginny said, sweeping over to join her family. There wasn't much space, so Ginny picked up Lily and deposited her on her Daddy's chest. She sighed contently and stared at her Mum, who had settled on the floor next to her.

"I think I could disagree that all girls like pink James" Ginny said to her son laying opposite her.

"Yes they do" said James, frowning.

"If you say so" Ginny said, reaching over to pull Lily more securely over her husband.

"So we're going for pink then?" Harry said, picking up his wand.

"Yes!" squealed Albus and James together. Harry waved his wand a very bright pink cloud puffed out the end and hovered in the air for a moment, before it exploded, covering the Potter's in pink dust. Lily sneezed as dust flew on her nose and everyone laughed.

"Again! But in red now" James shrieked, wriggling around to be closer to the action.

Harry did as he was told, and made a red cloud appear, before it similarly exploded, and dust filled the room.

James shot up and tried to catch the falling flakes, and Al decided to imitate him. Harry was left laying next to Ginny, and holding Lily, so he closed his eyes, trying to make this moment last as long as it possibly could.
