A Strange Encounter : Winxy, Witchy, Weird but... True!

What I'm about to tell you actually took place this Wednesday. I will sware to you upon anything you care to mention that this really happened.

I was on the bus going home from school. It was hot, hazy and humid. The bus was crowded to capacity and even though I had managed to get a seat, I was almost cramped against the wall by the person next to me and there were people crowed in the aisles. I was reading a book trying to ignore the heat and stuffiness of the bus. I look up from my book and I find that I am looking at the backside of a tall, willowy and leggy young woman. She was wearing tight faded blue-jeans and a military cut short sleeved blouse. She had blondish-brown hair so severely pulled back against her skull that it must have been painful that ended in a short pony-tail midway down her neck. Then I started looking at her ears that were delicately curved ending in not quite points but close enough as to make no odds. The bus stops and people start debarking. She turns around and I am staring at a bare midriff with the best cut abs I have ever seen then into an ivory heart-shaped face with a delicately pointed chin, high cheek bones, and the most beautiful but cold and piercing ice-blue eyes one could want to imagine. I am thinking, "Wow!" She moves to the seat behind me and I am desperately trying to think of something to say. Finally, I blurt out to her, "Have you ever considered letting your hair grow really long and trying it up in a high ponytail? I bet you could really carry off the style."

She looks at me and says, "You're funny."

So I take out my cellphone on which I have stored a few pictures of a certain witch we all know from Cloud Tower and show one to her.

"Like this," I tell her.

"Do you think I really look like her?" she asks.

"Yes," I say.

"You're funny," she says, blushes and looks embarrassed.

So I think that maybe the smart thing to do is to just turn around and behave myself. So I do. The bus then arrives at my stop and she gets off and so do I. But she turns and heads off swaying and swivelling in the direction of the condo complex. It was getting late for dinner so I have to head the opposite direction towards my apartment building. I cross the street and find that she also has crossed the street and was swaying and swivelling into my apartment building... so I follow her. The elevator is already at the ground floor and open and she sways and swivels in... and so I follow her. The elevator is full of people and I can't get up the nerve to talk to her. But she is looking askance at me because I am so excited that I was almost dancing on the spot and I was probably wearing a big, goofy grin plastered from ear to ear that must have made me look like I definitely had a few screws loose and was lacking more than just a few marbles upstairs. The elevator stops, she gets off... and so do I. She turns to the right... and so do I. By now she is really looking over her shoulders and beginning to lengthen her stride. At that moment, it finally filters through to this brain of mine what it is she must be thinking. (Now everyone say together with me. "Duuuuh!") So I call out to her, "Believe it or not, I actually live here," and to prove the point, I put my key in the lock and open my door. Then I turn around but only in time to see blue eyes and a pretty smile vanishing behind a closing door. She has been living across from me all this time and I didn't know. (Everyone together now. "Duuuuh!") One thing now is for sure. If I get to see her again soon, I will not waste a second chance to ask Icy out on a date.

And that's my story – strange but true.
