This won't be the Maggie I did for the Maggie Diaries.
Maggie Simpson lifted her suitcases into the trunk of her second-hand Toyota Corolla. Her father, Homer was helping her pack all her belongings in the house. After Marge died during the disastrous Springfield Riots a ten years back, Homer then had to act like a father and a mother to young Maggie Simpson, this is how they bonded a strong relationship with each-other. Bart was helping out too, lifting heavy boxes packed with her mother's silverware and other objects she left to her.
Maggie was going to the highly anticipated Shelbyville college to try and get into Shelbyville University to become a teacher, meaning she would have to stay there for several years, occasionally visiting Springfield . "So, today is the day" Bart said as he loaded a heavy box of textbooks. "I know, I can't believe I'm leaving here, my home town" Maggie's eyes became glassy.
After packing all the items into her car, Maggie climbed into her car, without realising she didn't say goodbye to her father. Homer was heartbroken. How could his darling daughter forget about him?
Years past and Maggie soon became a successful teacher in Shelbyville. She occasionally thought about her father, she really wanted to go visit him, but soon after she left, he moved. Without telling Maggie. One night, in bed, Maggie got a phone call from Bart. She answered this, "Maggie" "Yeah?" "Dad's on his death bed, he wants you" "Where is he?" "North Haverbrook". Maggie soon booked a flight to North Haverbrook and saw her father.
"Maggie" Homer's voice creaked
"Yes Dad"
"You are a very successful child, and I want you to remember something"
"What is it?"
"Don't forget about me"
Homer took his last breath, and he was at peace.
