To explain his love

Walking over to Keller, Galen sat down next to her. She looked up and smiled. She closed the book that was on her lap. "Hey," she smiled. Galen pushed a piece of her hair behind her ear. Her smile grew as he did. He had always loved her hair and he liked to remind her of that fact. "Hello my love," he smiled. Galen had always found his soulmate beautiful, he'd fallen in love with her the day he'd first saw her. Keller was like no other young woman he had met. Other than being very beautiful, she was smart, brave and incredibly fierce. She was dangerous and it was a bad idea to be on her bad side.
Resting her head on his shoulder, Keller smiled. Before she had met Galen, she'd been afraid of love. She'd believed love had only been for the weak. But then Galen had changed all that. He had shown her love that she had never known or felt before. She felt like a new person. She felt loved.
Galen passed her a poem that he'd just written. Keller read it in silence. It was him trying to explain his love for her. She had tears in her eyes when she had finished reading. Keller looked up at her soulmate. Galen was watching her carefully waiting for her reaction. "Kiss me," she whispered. He smiled and kissed her, knowing he couldn't say no to her.
