Disclaimer: Don't own the characters or any of the story lines, just borrowing them for a while.
A/N: This is my first Rizzles, so please don't be too harsh if the characters are not themselves. I know this is a short and sweet idea, but I was watching my favourite episode and couldn't resist not writing it. Set in 3x05. Please enjoy and reviews are always welcome.

"Is it too late to call in sick?! I can't do this," Maura complained as they walked down the hall. Jane grabbed Maura by the hand and dragged her into a small closet. Jane shut the door behind them and turned around to stare at her best friend.
"Yes you can!" Jane muttered.
"No, I can't," Maura argued, beginning to hyperventilate.
"Yes, you, can," Jane said, pausing between each word for effect. Maura shook her head as her breaths became short and shallow. "Stop that!" Jane moaned.
"Can't… help… it…" Maura wheezed. Jane stepped closer to Maura and pushed her against the wall. Jane softly stroked her cheek then pressed her lips against Maura's and kissed her.
Jane pulled her head back and smiled weakly as Maura. 'Who would've thought her kisses would be soft and innocent. She acts and dresses so macho,' Maura thought to herself with a love at first sight smile on her face.
Maura cupped her hands around Jane's face. Her lips crashed down on Jane's and Maura placed her hands on Jane's back to pull her closer. Jane smiled into the kiss and put her hands either side of Maura's face, pinning her in place. Jane kissed the brunette deeper as one of the hands resting on her back moved into her messy black hair. The pair finally broke apart when air became a necessity.
"Still feeling uncertain?" Jane asked cheekily.
"With you by my side, I can conquer the world!" Maura commented. "You will be by my side?" she squeaked.
"Always!" Jane replied and kissed her cheek. Maura squeezed Jane's hand before opening the door. She knew no matter what was going to happen next, Maura could face it with courage knowing the one she loves and who loves her back will be there to support her.
