Pam's Sonnet (I just picked a nameā¦no offense to Pams everywhere)
There once was a girl named Pam.
Pam was awfully mean.
She bugged me during an exam.
She made it anything but serene.
Just the way she looks at me,
Makes me hate her very soul.
I want to kick her in her knee,
Then on the ground she would roll.
Pam surely annoys everyone,
The teachers dislike her too,
She surely makes school less fun.
And also needs some shampoo.
A poor little girl is she,
I'm sure even she would agree.
Anti-Ode
Odes I really hate,
I don't see what makes a person so great.
They really just bug me,
But I bet you disagree.
You think "why so harsh?"
Well to me, your opinion's less than a swim in a marsh.
Odes only concentrate on the good,
In fact, little people could.
If life was like an ode
Then smoother would be the road.
So odes are unrealistic,
Like the tooth fairy or Santa, mystic.
I rather prefer to take what life hands me,
Now don't you agree?
Odes I really hate,
But then again, this poem's pretty great.
