Whispers

"Good morning, Lyon."

The ice mage slumped down against the cold, stone slate and leaned on it heavily, shutting his eyes. It was almost six thirty in the morning, which was a time Gray would never get up at if he had a choice. However, he made the effort everyday to do this. It was important to him.

"I'm sorry that I was gone for two weeks," Gray began as he twiddled his thumbs with a sigh, "it was the S-Class trials." The raven haired man explained.

He, of course, did not expect an answer from his older brother, so he continued to talk. "Oh yeah! I almost forgot, I'm an S-Class wizard now." he said with a bright smile. "Pretty cool, right? I'm practically the same level as Erza."

Once again, there wasn't a reply.

Gray waited a few minutes longer as he watched the sun come up from the horizon, creating a beautiful array of color in the corner of the sky.

His hands connected and at that, created a magnificent blue rose, made from his ice magic. He held it to the sky, enjoying the reflection the sunrise made through his creation.

After a while, Gray stood, and placed the rose on the headstone he had been leaning on.

"Here. I know, my roses won't ever be as good as yours," he stated, "but...I think I'll get better at it one day."

With a small smile, he once again read the writing on the memorial.

Lyon Vastia

X765 - X797

A great wizard of Lamia Scale

And a friend of both Fairy Tail and Blue Pegasus

May he Rest In Peace

The ice mage hadn't realized that he was crying until he noticed a teardrop land on the headstone. He wiped the warm tears from his face, and sniffed. Not able to stop them from flowing, he got back on his knees and placed his forehead on the headstone.

"I'm sorry...I really am..." he sniveled, biting his lower lip. "I know...I know you'd tell me there's nothing to apologize for...but I just..." The abnormally warm tears continued to roll down his cheeks, "I wish I could...see you again..."

Eventually the tears stopped, but Gray remained in the same position.

"I know you never believed in all that stuff," he began with a sorrowful smile, "ghosts, spirits...Hell, I don't even know if you ever believed that Ur was alive, in some way. But, I can feel you here. I know you are."

The raven could have sworn that he felt the arms of his older brother wrap around him.

He waited for a while at the comfort of feeling Lyon's presence, and once he felt it fade, he stood and placed his cold hand on the gravestone.

"Okay...See ya. For real this time." he chuckled slightly, taking one last look back at his foster brother's memorial.

"I promise, we'll see each other one day again...Gray."

A/N: There is a sort of prologue to this that I've written, called "Family", if this isn't enough closure :'D (Which I know it isn't. xD)

I have a problem with doing things to Gray and Lyon, I'm sorry, I need to stop. xD

The title is kind of based off of the Evanescence song, Whisper, just fyi.

I hope you guys liked it! ovo
