Dean didn't know what time it was. He didn't know anything anymore, really. Except pain. A constant ache lay upon his soul. He had forgotten how to hope.
He seemed to have a memory… a name that was always with him.
Sam.
The name used to remind him to hope. But there was no Sam here. There was an illusion of hope, Alistair and pain.
Once upon a time, he would get hurt. And Sam would save him.
But that was a fairy tale and this painfully real.
For the first time in years, Dean hoped. He hoped Sam was better off.
