A/N: I'm so sorry that this is so short.I tried to keep this as historically accurate as I could to my knowledge. Oh, say hi to my beta, LastCupOfCoffe.

Disclaimer: I do not own Hetalia. If I did, Fritz would be in the anime by now. So would Von Katte. Even though he's not in the web comic. I have my reasons. Well, enough rambling, on with the sad : character *Ludwig's p.o.v.*

Today, I had decided to visit bruder and his king. It's been awhile since I've seen them.

As I was walking down the hall, I heard a sobbing noise. It sounded like bruder. But... Bruder doesn't cry. What's going on?

I walked down a bit more, and sure enough, it was Gilbert. He was in hysterics. What could have upset him so much?

"He was a good man." I heard one of the servants say. I was confused. Did someone die? "I know." Said another servant. "He always called me 'my child.'" Isn't that what Bruder's king called his servants?

Suddenly, it all made sense. Everyone crying, including bruder. Everyone standing...

Oh Gott...

They were standing outside of Fritz's office.

I ran the rest of the way down the hall to Bruder. Maybe it was a coincidence.

"Bruder," I said. "Is Fritz..." He just sniffed and nodded. I started crying too. He was like an uncle to me. Bruder pulled me into a hug. We stayed there crying for what felt like hours.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. Next chapter will be about Gilbert finding Fritz dead. Poor Gilbert. Oh, and according to a biography I read (which I do not own) Fritz did call his servants "my child" and he was known as "Germany's Uncle."
