We just had exams! I think I did great. I'm one of those no-social-life-genius-kids at school, so I finished my math exam with 45 minutes to go. Ugh. Boring and easy. I'm sorry I've been gone; studying's left me busy. But I have been writing! I haven't been doing much of I'm a Grenade, but rather oneshots and horror stories. So I'll be posting those.
This is really short, but I love it. Enjoy!
What do you get when you mix sulfur, tungsten, and silver? SWAG.
Darkness. Pain. Confusion.
She couldn't see anything. She could hear her own pulse, and the pain in her leg was unbearable. It was as if she had received a thousand stabs from a poisoned blade. And the gods knew she knew how that felt.
But mostly, she was confused. Her breath was short and ragged. Her headache made her forehead pound, and she could feel the pulsing of the vein. She stood up, leaning on her good leg, and saw something in a small, yellow light that made her eyes bulge.
Ambrosia.
A small bag of the godly food lay a foot away from her. After a moment of examination, she ate the square, and felt her leg heal, as well as the multiple scratches along her. She felt rejuvenated. She could walk, and Hades, she knew she could run.
The bag had many more squares, so she shoved the baggie in her jeans pocket and saw a gleam near the bag. Her dagger.
She picked it up and pushed the blade into her sheath.
Her shoulders sagged in relief. She was armed and had healing properties with her.
But... Where was he?
She knew he would be near. He was always near her when she was scared. She knew it. She... She felt it.
She looked to where she found her blade and the squares. A note.
Sacrifices. Sweet, sweet sacrifices. -Nemesis
Her blood ran cold and her heart almost stopped. "P... Percy?" she squeaked. "Percy?" she said, slightly more frantic. "Percy? Percy!" she yelled, trying not to draw attention towards her. "PERCY!" she tried, her care going out the window.
That's when she saw it.
Green.
Green orbs. Sea green. Glowing. Marbles?
No, eyes.
Eyes.
With all her strength, she ran across the rough ground to the orbs and stepped close. She crouched down and unsheathed her blade, using it's dim glow as a light.
When she saw what she saw, her throat closed up and she felt herself break. "No... No... No. No! No!" she screamed, tears already falling.
Perseus Jackson lay, eyes wide open, lifeless. The fall had ultimately killed him. His body was in a broken state, limbs twisting in ways limbs shouldn't. Blood leaked from his mouth, but worse, someone placed another note on him.
For the safety of you, Miss Chase, we had to kill Perseus. Your brains verses brawns, no? You thought the same of him only four years ago.
No name was at the end of the statement. She didn't need one. She knew who did this. "Hera. Hera.HERA!" she screamed.
She began to sob, broken, ragged sobs. A foodbag shimmered next to him. Food. Food. She wasn't hungry.
The walls began to close in. The moved closer, and a demonic voice whispered. "Forever trapped... Never to be released... Your fate is the same..."
Before they could reach her, they took the corpse of Percy Jackson, and pushed the baggie closer.
With a final scream, she picked up the bag, and fell to her knees ad sobbed for hours, a cold hand clenching around her heart.
Sacrifices
