The war between the past and the future

What is this dark shape in my heart that sits here and fills it with darkness? I can't seem to keep the light in my grasp. I can't remember what I was sent here to do. Also though, I can't remember my name. That thought was crossing my mind often. One of The things that I do remember is that I'm supposed to be dead. The last thing I remember was that I was in the middle of the war between the light and the darkness. The light was winning and I couldn't bring myself to kill my target; but what was my target? I still can't remember even though I do know that I'm dead, or close to it. My body feels like it's floating on air.

Are those waves that I hear in this sleep? This weightlessness that I feel, am I just going insane? Then I feel my feet drag along something. I move my hands to feel what it was, surprised when I find sand. I open my eyes and take a good look of where I'm at. It turns out that there was no sun, but a light coming from across a dark ocean. I was on a beach in the world of darkness. Because of this I felt my strength returning to what it was before the war. I was sitting in the sand and looking towards the light when all of a sudden I heard footsteps behind me. I tried to sit as still as stone but to no avail. The footsteps kept getting closer to me. I just kept quiet and looked towards the light, when I noticed in my peripheral vision that someone sat right next to me.

It felt like I was sitting for a long time when I had a sensation of something watching me. I looked to my left to see that a girl was sitting next to me and was staring directly right at me. "May I help you?" I asked in an annoyed voice. "I was just wondering, How long have you been sitting on this beach?" The girl said in a sullen voice. "I can honestly say that I don't know how long I've been sitting here." I replied in a low voice. "How could you not know? I mean, I know the reason I'm here." The girl said in an all-knowing voice. "The last thing I remember was that I was in a war and then I woke up here. Okay? That's why I don't know." I said in an even more aggravated tone. "Wait did you just say war? What war were you in?" The girl asked in an excited voice. "I remember that I was in the Keyblade war, between light and darkness." I said in a sad voice.

I stood up and started to walk away from where I was sitting. "You know, I could help you gain back your memory." The girl said while standing up. "I think that would not be a good idea." I said while walking along the shore. "Why? What could it hurt that I help you?" She said in front of me. I had to stop because she was standing in front of me. "It could hurt a lot more people than you might know."
