Shadow: Hi everyone! This is Shadow reporting. I finally got enough brake in my schoolwork and chores that I am updating! WOO-HOO! This takes place before Samantha and my created series of Sailor Moon called Sailor Moon: Mystic Stars. I hope you read this because I show my true colors here. This is a Sailor Moon Fanfic.
Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon. However I do own this story!
Prologue: A Burden It Seems
"Princess!" the young girl shouted, her bottomless black eyes flashing as her princess fell to the ground. A terrible cry tore out of the girl's throat as a female warrior with icy blue eyes blocked the sword from puncturing her skin. The enemy bared her teeth in a merciless smile.
"This is your daughter, eh?"
"Yes. You better have some respect!"
The young girl in question shivered with unease as the swords scratched together. She hated disagreements that had to be settled with violence. This war was sure to kill her mother.
"Sailor Minisun, get Sanura out of here!"
"But…" Sailor Minisun began, her bottomless eyes staring at her queen. Her chocolate colored fingers twisted in hair that was flame red as she argued with herself. Protect her princess or fight with her queen? She couldn't choose.
"Go!" Her queen commanded, pressing her weight against the blades of the joined swords.
Sailor Minisun stood frozen in confusion and anguish as her princess crawled remorsefully toward her.
"I'm sorry…" Her Princess, Sanura Selene, said quietly as she got to her feet. Her raven feather black hair was dusty and tangled which seemed to intensify the fact that her midnight-colored eyes were watery and depressed. "I haven't got my powers yet…"
Sailor Minisun exhaled noisily as she remembered that was true. Sanura was already past the age when she should have started training to be the leader of her Sailor Senshi. She was ten now and still had not gained her abilities.
I hope she gets it soon. Sailor Minisun thought to herself, she will not be fit to lead a war if her mother dies.
Sailor Minisun hated her princess with a passion when they were on the battlefield. She could fight with weaponry outstandingly but when it came to magic well…
"Let us go home now, my Princess."
Sanura bowed her head in shame. She couldn't defend her planet and that realization hurt more than anything else.
"Okay…"
Sanura turned her eyes to the grey-tinted sky. She couldn't help…
The love she felt for her mother turned bitter as her heart broke into two.
Never again will I love you… she promised herself silently. Or anyone else.
Authoress Note: I neglected to mention- this takes place in the very far future (Even later than Chibi-Usa's time) and this is a galaxy close to the Star Lights' galaxy. This will be explained more later.
