Lily/James

Lily and James Potter looked down at their little boy Harry sleeping in his crib in his nursery. James put his hands on Lily's hips. It was a warm summer day's night and one of those you'll always cherish. There were a few warm breezes coming in.

The night was both the worst time and the best during a war. Worst because all the darkness came, and it felt as though the world was as dark as the sky. The best because during the night they could just be, no new newspaper with articles of death and no looking back you every time you walked on the street.

'I just wish I could protect him better' Lily said as she put her hands on the rail of the crib. It was a fact that each day more people got killed by Voldermort and his death eaters and more people started to believe that if Voldermort's power finally increased they wouldn't do it alive.

'I hope our next children will grow up in a world that is more secure and loving ' James said airy. Lily's green eyes, those eyes he had never been able to resist looked at him and she smiled.

Lily could make James feel more safer and more warm than anyone, as long as she smiled like that at him he knew that there was still hope and that was more than he needed to get power to fight.

'Our next children? How many are we having?' She asked, her dark red hair swishing.

'Two more, two girls with the same hair colour as you and my eyes and the other have black hair and your green as eyes, like Harry' He said and Lily thought to see his eyes lit up.

'Really? And do these children have names?' Lily asked curious

'Melissa and Dahlia' He said determinately

'Dahlia as the flower?' Lily said amused

'You don't like it?' James asked anxious.

'It's perfect, just perfect' She said and moved her hands from the rail to the neck of James and kissed him, her lips tasted of coconut.

'How did I end up with such wonderful girl like you?' He said, it was a thing he always had wondered.

For many years he had tried to convince to go out with her but each times she had stubbornly said no. Or it was rather more as 'I'ld kiss the giant squid before you'. Somewhere along the years he had matured and she had finally said agreed to a date.

'You'll never know' She said teasingly.

'See, that is not fair you know how much I love mysteries' He said.

She kept quiet and didn't tell him that while yes, she had hated him the first school years she had realised that she had found him attractive. However she knew that the reason why he was continued to ask her out was because she said no so she continued doing that, until she couldn't.

In his crib baby Harry had taken his favourite stuffed animal, which was a lion and put it on his shoulder as he slept on this. When Lily and James saw is they went quiet. It was amazing how when he did small things that they thought it was the most exciting thing that had ever happened.

It felt as though they had all time in the world.
