Chapter 1
Cammie's POV
Today I had the weirdest morning of my life. I woke up to the sound of my alarm
and sat up groggily. I guess I was too sleepy to notice something. I looked around me and
realized that I wasn't in my room. I wasn't even in my house! I was in an unfamiliar
room by myself. Last time I checked, last night I fell asleep in my bed in MY OWN
HOUSE!
"Mom?" I screamed. There was no reply. I got out of bed and walked out of the
room. I was in a mansion. I'm not even kidding. A HUGE mansion that was twice the
size of my house. I explored and walked all the way down to the first floor. My mom was
sitting at a table and staring at me. Creepy. "Where am I?" I asked her impatiently.
"Morning, Cammie-dear. How do you like our new house? Isn't it just great?"
"Um yeah the house is great but when did we move, where am I, and why did you
not tell me anything?" She just shook her head and smiled at me.
"I wanted our new house to be a surprise so when you were sleeping 2 nights ago,
I injected some sleeping medicine into you. While you were sleeping, I packed up all our
belongings and moved you here. Welcome to Virginia!" She smiled enthusiastically and
waited for me to jump up and down in happiness. Guess what? I didn't. I was furious and
decided to pull out some of my annoyance.
"And you didn't think I needed to know that we were going to be moving from
California to Virginia? I had friends there you know? I had the best life! I was popular
and I had Josh…" I had started off screaming and trailed off on Josh's name. He must
have been so mad when he found out. My mom knew about Josh and she supported me
for that.
"Sorry Cammie but I got a new job here and nothing will ever make me move
back." She said firmly. "Our home here is closer to my work than in California. I felt so
bad leaving you alone all the time." I actually liked it when my mom was in Virginia. I
got to invite my friends over and we could do what we would never do if my mom were
there. Sure I missed her but it was a lot more fun.
"Whatever," I screamed holding back tears. I stormed up to the room I had woken
up in and slammed the door. I sat down on my bed and examined the room. The room
was actually awesome. I hadn't noticed much when I was still sleepy. The room had
lavender walls with a laptop on the table and a flat screen TV on the table. A hallway led
to a bathroom and mini-kitchen.
I plopped down on the queen-sized bed and opened up the laptop. I logged onto
my email and messaged all my friends except Josh. I felt it would be easier if I just forgot
about him.
"Hey Kayla, Michelle, and Tracy. Sorry about leaving. Turns out my mom
knocked me out and moved us to Virginia. Evil. Lol. Tell everyone I love and miss them
and tell Josh that I'm sorry.
Love you guys,
Cammie."
I finally closed the laptop and fell back asleep. What a CRAZY day.
AN: Hi people! Review and tell me what you think of my first chapter. Please. Oh ye
of little faith! I will be putting Gallagher in the next chapter. Just to clear things up,
Gallagher is still a school for spies but Cams doesn't know that yet. Gallagher is an
all girls' boarding school where people live in their own houses. So click that little
button down there and make an author (me) happy! Have a sunshiny and rainbowy
day. Byeee!
