The Early Years: A DaemonxStella Oneshot
Daemon was sitting in pavilion, his hood up and glaring at everything around him. He didn't belong her, and the daughter of Hecate he'd just met had demon-hunters as older brothers. Besides, Stella was 6-foot 3, and Daemon was 5-foot 6. He was a midget compared to her, and she wouldn't even give him a second-glance. What he wasn't aware of was that Stella was giving him a second-glance, but it was more like a second-dreamy-stare.
She thought, deep down of course, that Daemon was a really nice and interesting guy, and his shortness compared to her and his parentage and antisocial tendencies only intrigued her more. He'd shown her a section of her book she didn't even know existed, and she had spent hours pouring over it and watching him.
Daemon stood and dumped his untouched plate into the brazier, sighing and walking away, head down and hands shoved in his pockets. He heard light foot-falls, and then looked up to see Stella smiling at him. He had to tilt his head up a more-than-fair amount just to make eye contact, "H-hey..." The skinny boy said timidly.
"Hi!" The tall, beautiful girl said back, tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder that, unbeknownst to her, practically made Daemon drool. He really liked her.
"H-how are...you?" Daemon asked, looking back down.
"I'm great, but I had some questions for you," Stella said, opening her book.
"About...what?" Daemon replied, nervous and anxious.
"Well...there are sections of my book that didn't exist until you touched them and...I was wondering if you wouldn't mind showing them to me? I don't understand some of the wordings." Stella told him, flipping to the page that she had in mind.
"Sure...do you want to do it...now?" Daemon asked, hoping she'd say yes. It would allow him to get to know her better.
"Really? Yes!" Stella said, closing her book and looking extremely happy as she clutched it to her chest.
Daemon couldn't help but smile as he watched her be happy, and surprised that he'd caused her happiness, "Let's go to the Coffee Shop on Fifth," he offered nervously. The Coffee Shop he was talking about was unofficially a place where couples either first met or always hang out.
Stella knew what he was implying, and her smile widened even more, "Sure!" She said, taking his hand and leading the way to the skateboards she kept in her cabin for reasons known only to her.
Daemon took her hand back, a small smile on his face before he realized he didn't know how to ride, "Um, Stell?"
