Here is another short I've had bouncing around my head. The true reason Sasuke defected.
Almost there! Sasuke thought as he sprinted as fast as he could through the forests of fire country. He had just woken up from his stint in the barrel. Wasn't really all that interested in the power boost it was supposed to give him, but he had to keep up appearances. If they knew what he now knows, he'd never get a moment to himself again!
"Sasuke!"
'Crap! Naruto's right behind me!' Sasuke had nothing against him really. Naruto was one of the few people who treated him like he would anyone else. Still, if he thought that he'd go back to certain rape without a fight, Naruto had another thing coming! Sad that Sasuke felt safer with the 50 year old pedofile than his own home village.
Really though, the only reason he hadn't left sooner is because at least he was able to train without interuption, and that was only because his fangirls were too busy fighting amongst themselves over who got to spend time with their Sasuke-kun than actually bothering him. Not going to last though. Not once they find out about the Clan Restoration Act, which basically was an enforced harem. Most guys would think this is a dream come true, but with banshees like Ino and Sakura to look forward too...that is a fate he wouldn't wish on Itachi!
Sasuke could see a valley up ahead. That would look really epic for a fight now that he thought about it. Better get ready to act. The longer it takes for his fans to find out about that cursed law, the more time he'll have to train. Shame he couldn't send Itachi's old fanclub after him, but that would be far too cruel. He's an avenger damn it, not a monster... aaaannnddd now he has bat wings growing out of his back. Maybe it would be easier to just send out the fanclub.
Somewhere far away, Itachi suddenly felt a chilling shiver run down his spine.
