Lee stared at Sakura as she walked down the aisle. He always found her to be a vision of loveliness, but today she was simply resplendent. Her hair was twisted up in an intricate bun, and she wore a pure white Kimono covered in embroidered cherry blossoms that matched the tint of her hair perfectly. He knew that he could never be good enough for her, but seeing her like this made him want to wrap his arms around her and never let go. He knew that no matter what happened here today or in the future, he would always love her forever.

It all seemed like a dream. Lee still couldn't believe she had agreed to marry him.

Sasuke watched the proceedings with a scowl on his face. Never one for giving compliments, even he could admit that Sakura looked stunning today. But it should be him standing next to her at the altar. She had fought so hard to bring him back to Konoha, and she stood by his side through all the suspicious glares and taunts that were thrown his way as he slowly worked his way back into village life. Once he killed his brother, he had just assumed that she would be waiting for him with open arms. True, her actions on his behalf were just the same as Naruto's…actions befitting a true friend, but he could have sworn there was still a spark of desire in her eyes every time she saw him. It had come as quite a shock when he discovered that she was marrying Lee. It was ironic really, that after all the years she had loved him, when he was finally ready to accept her into his heart, she had moved on.

But perhaps this is how they were fated to be…one of them always pining for the other.
