I sprinted in the forest
Hoping you would be okay
You kept the battle a secret
And left while I was away
I pushed off with great might
Praying I could save you
My heart beating with fright
I burst into the clearing
And my eyes grew wide
Your opponent was gone
He left you there to die
I ran and crouched beside you
Searching for signs of life
Deep down I knew it was futile
Your eyes were black and held no sight
You hadn't left quietly
Lips stained red with blood
Your death had been a hard one
And you fell to the mud
I closed my eyes and clenched my jaw
To keep my feelings in
I wasn't supposed to
Ever show what was within
It became too much
And I broke out crying
Nearly hysterical at the thought of you dying
Eventually I rose up, eyes full of mist
But not before closing your eyes
And giving you a kiss
Facing the sun I ran away
I had a mission to find your killer
He would pay.
Author's Note: I wrote this during lunch months ago, it was lying around in my black hole of a room before I found it and typed it up. I don't know who the person who found Itachi is, I kind of left that vague so it can be whomever you guys want it to be. I also know that I left the dead person's identity vague as well, but I was thinking of Itachi when I wrote it. Whatever, if you don't want it to be him, you can think about some other angst-ridden person while you're reading.
