Author's note: This chapter is for testing if you like the story. That's the reason why it's considerably short. Also note: Shonen-ai (because I love it) might become yaoi if there's some demand for it. On with the story…
Naruto looked out of the window. It was raining and the day was bleak. Naruto sighed and headed down to the cafeteria. It was hard being a shinigami, especially one who worked with an idiot called Sasuke.
Boy did Naruto hate Sasuke, a stuck up brat who only showed off his powers when he caught the bad guys and always getting promotions only to refuse them.
Naruto clenched his fist when the tall muscular figure of Sasuke walked in holding a ramen cup which he had bribed off Tsuzuki in return for a few cinnamon rolls.
'Here dobe, thought you might be weak and annoying if you were hungry,' Sasuke threw the cup to him.
Naruto glared and somewhat reluctantly accepted the cup because he was in fact very hungry. He walked over to the kitchen bench and boiled water for the noodles.
'And because you're such a dumb dobe. I got new information on the case we were working on,' Sasuke took out a scroll which held a map 'This is the place where the murders happened and the bodies were then dragged over to here,' Sasuke's finger traced a pathway.
Naruto filled his cup with hot water whilst nodding over his shoulder, trying to look attentive but really was waiting impatiently for his ramen to ready. Sasuke sensed this.
'DOBE! ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION!' Sasuke roared as he was sick of this always happening.
Naruto pouted, 'Yes Sasuke-sama,'
He took his cup over to the table and started on it. Sasuke just watched in awe as Naruto practically breathed in his ramen. After Naruto had finished, he smirked. It was nice showing that idiot that he was good at something.
'I'm listening now,' Naruto said and patted his stomach, indicating that he was full. Sasuke quickly regain himself and started again.
'The bodies were found over here and…' Sasuke trailed over as he looked helpless exasperated and Naruto's annoying and sleeping figure. He sighed. Naruto had been working for over two hard days without rest. Maybe it would be nice to give him a rest.
Sasuke picked up Naruto and put him down on the couch and bought a blanket to cover him. When he was sure that Naruto was snug he sat besides him and a few minutes ticked away from the clock. Sasuke yawned tiredly and thought that there was no use staying awake if his partner wasn't, so he changed for bed.
Before Sasuke went to sleep he walked over to the couch bent down and his lips brushed Naruto's ones. 'Goodnight dobe,' the words softly escaped Sasuke's lips.
