This school motto has driven the apt students of Hogwarts from success to success. Each individual contributing to their own house, with friendly competition towards the other three houses strives to do their best.
The daring Gryffindors, renowned for their bravery, chivalry and nerve; the patient Hufflepuffs with qualities of loyalty and fairness; the intelligent and witty Reavenclaws eager to soak up the mysteries of the cavernous walls in which they learn; the cunning and ambitious Syltherins striving to achieve their ends.
For centuries, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has instructed you, inexperienced wizards and witches to become fully flowing magical fountains of knowledge and spirit. Within the magically protected halls of Hogwarts, students from far and wide learn a great variety of magical art ranging from out in the darkest forest to inside the brightest classroom.
In this book, you will read further into the origin of this great academy of learning, studying from the first spark of an idea, through the flames of the first Tri-Wizard tournament, right up to Hogwarts in the pass of the millennium.
During my time at Hogwarts, I constantly referred to Hogwarts A History and feel that yet another revised edition of the book would provide a better glimpse at the foundation that created Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
