I just wanted to post a story, so I forced myself to come up with something. Hope you enjoy!

Disclaimer: I don't own Young Justice.

Green

Sometimes he wishes he didn't have fur.

Or a tail.

Or green skin.

It would be nice to make a normal friend, after all.

A cute girlfriend wouldn't be so bad either.

Between him and M'gann, they share a tape of "Hello Megan!"

Season One, of course.

Not that there were any other seasons.

He doesn't quite get why it received so many negative reviews.

Honestly, it wasn't horrible.

His mom didn't deserve the critics' blasting.

She was perfect.

Unlike him.

Paul Sloane was perfect too.

Well, on the show at least.

He had rugged good looks.

He had silky ebony hair.

He didn't have green fur.

He didn't have a tail.

His canine teeth made him look hot.

But he's not so perfect anymore.

He's in jail.

Ha!

That'll show him for being so stupidly cool.

His friends say he's cool too.

He appreciates the effort.

But they don't understand.

Karen was a pretty cheerleader in high school.

La'gaan is quite popular in Atlantis.

Nightwing just needs to bend over, and girls fall in love with him.

At one point or another, they've experienced being normal.

M'gann empathizes with him.

She understands his insecurities.

But she can shape shift herself into anything she wants.

He's stuck green.

God, he hates being green.

He can't even camouflage himself in black ops missions for crying out loud!

He loves M'gann with all his heart, honestly, and he will always be grateful to her, but still…

He's homeschooled.

He enjoys Snapper Carr's style of teaching.

But often times he finds himself fantasizing about the drama and excitement of middle school.

High school's not terribly far away either.

He has a picture of himself when he was eight years old.

Apparently he was a redhead.

Maybe he would have been a jock.

No.

Not a jock.

Definitely not a jock.

Being green isn't his only problem.

He's met a girl recently.

She's around his age.

She's dark and scary.

She has pale ashy skin.

Her hair is a surprising shade of purple.

He loves it.

She doesn't get his sense of humor.

Not many people do.

But he tries to get her attention anyway.

There's no one else in the world like her.

She's alone.

But that doesn't mean she has to be lonely.

She doesn't have to be like him.

The corner of her mouth twitched a little at one of his corny jokes.

He feels giddy.

She's become nicer to him over time.

She even commented to him that her favorite color is dark green.

She denies it.

He'll never forget it though.

Green isn't his favorite color.

He despises it, in fact.

But slowly, he's starting to hate it a little less.

Hi! Important thing to be noted here: I was formerly known as Gotta Love Robin. I changed my username recently.

Moving on, I felt like there wasn't enough love for Gar in the cartoon. I don't see how, 'cuz he's so adorable! But if I were in his place, I know that I wouldn't feel the same way. So here's my little take on his insecurities. Oh, and just in case you don't know, Paul Sloane was the actor who played Conner on "Hello Megan!"

I feel like I abused the line breaks. Anyways, I take reviews. :)

This fic has now officially ended, but I don't have a cool catchphrase to say bye.
