Redleaf's POV

I felt sadness go everywhere as I ran away from them. I was never loved...

Why didn't he love me? What did I do to get this? I thought I was his one and only forever, I guess I was wrong.

How could he? Only loving me to get his brother, who loved me, jealous.

We even had a litter of kits last moon, why did he do this to me?

I feel like their is no point in living anymore.

Suddenly, I felt like my evil side is taking over me, I pounced all my way back to camp.

I noticed Rockshade, my mate, sitting next to my sister, Echosong.

I knew she was expecting his kits.

I sobbed and ran away from camp, never to return.

Mudfoot's POV

I sat next to Echosong, having a chat to her, I noticed Redleaf running away from camp.

I suddenly remembered all the fun times I had with her.

Flashback

'Come on Redkit! Let's go annoy Yarrowleaf by stealing her herbs!' Mudkit told her.

Redkit and Mudkit were the bestest friends and nothing would ever come between them.

'Of course!' Redkit said.

The two kits pounced into the med cat den together.

'Can I come to?' A voice behind them said, they turned around to see Echokit behind them.

'Umm... Sparrowsong needs you back in the nursery!' Redkit swiftly said.

'Oh.' Echokit said, her ears drooping.

Redkit and Mudkit smiled at each other.

3 moons later

'Redkit, until you get your warrior name, you shall be known as Redpaw, your mentor shall be me, meeting dismissed.' Applestar said.

'Yes! Perfect chance to become leader!' Redpaw thought to herself.

'Let's start training together!' Echopaw told her.

After a hard days work of training, Redpaw and Mudpaw relaxed together.

'I do love being an apprentice, can't wait to become a warrior!' Redpaw told Mudpaw.

Mudpaw didn't answer because he fell asleep.

Current time, Still Mudfoot's POV

I suddenly knew the truth, I loved Redleaf, why was I too late to see that?

I chased after her.

I called her name but I heard no answer.

Suddenly, I came to a lake and I saw a familiar body in front of me.

It was Redleaf, she had drowned herself in the lake.

Oh why was I too late?

I knew I had no choice, I put my claws up to my neck and cut my own throat.

When I woke up I saw Redleaf in Starclan.

I started to cry when I saw her, she was still so beautiful! Like she always was.

'I'm sorry...' I told her.

'It's alright!' She said.

A moon later

'Three kits.' Littleleaf told me.

Echosong smiled at the kits, 'I think I'll call the One that looks like Redleaf Redkit, The Silver one Leafkit and the only tom Mudkit.' Echosong said.

'Those are amazing names, but take care of Redleaf's kits, Maplekit, Dawnkit, Wavekit and Frostkit.' Mudfoot's voice told Echostorm.

'I will, I promise, I don't know why you both had to die.' Echosong told him.

Mudfoot stayed silent for a moment, Redleaf walked over to her in her dreams.

'Echosong, what would you rather have, peace, or freedom?' Redleaf asked her.

Redleaf - Russet she-cat with one amber eye, one green eye, stripe across her back.

Mudfoot - Mud brown and white tabby tom with blue eyes (Looks like Hawkfrost but nicer)

Echosong - Fluffy white she-cat with silver ears, legs, tail and face, blue eyes.

Littleleaf - Small golden she-cat with calm blue eyes, white paws.

Sparrowsong - Sandy brown she-cat with green eyes.

Applestar - Ginger tabby she-cat with green eyes, mother to Sparrowsong.
