I own Nothing 'I Am Legend'. This is just a random meandering of my mind.

Numbers.

There was a deadly silence. A heavy weight ontop of her entire body. She groaned and tried yelling, but something was pressing down on her wind pipe. She began clawing her way up, mails digging into cold flesh and dirt. Finally when her right hand broke the surface, she pulled herself out. The chilly night air stung her deprived lungs and hurt her throat. She squinted her burning eyes as they watered and she looked around. First thing her eyes found was a white sigh, posted two feet away from where she laid on the ground. BioHazard. Victims of KV Virus. Keep Back 100 Ft. She was stunned, images flashing through her head. She looked at her hands, they were ghostly pale and her blue veins sticking out darkly. Fear seized her.

Was she infected? Had she been confused for dead? As she thought of these things, she noticed her breath was abnormally rapid. She felt...strong. After a few moments, she sprang up to her feet and looked around. She was in the middle of a large park...Central Park. There was other signs around, marking the mass graves. She shivered. The city was dead. She was dead, and yet here she stood. Her white eyes closed, remembering getting ill and being shot. She opened them again and lifted her shirt up...her torso scattered with healed wounds. Confusion didn't even begin to describe her state of being. How long had she been down there? No doubt the government had done it. That damn vaccine. First she was dieing of luchemia, now she WAS dead.

Her dead eyes looked at her right wrist, where there was a series of numbers. 2894661. Was this her number? Her sin? She didn't know, but suddenly existance seemed very lonely and the world smaller.
