A/N: Just a small idea i have for a Don/Jo pairing... i for some reason love this pairing idea... it just came to me that not like anyone wrote Flack being with Jo... so I'm just giving you a little taste of it... if you want to read more Jo/Flack romance stories, please let me know what you think about this small little one shot also idk how to write Jo very well since i didnt see many episodes when she came about... hope you enjoy

"You Don Flack are one of a kind," Jo smiled as Don took her back to her place, their date as friends has ended, and both were nervous in what would come next.
"You too Jo," Don threw her a goofy grin. "I had a great night, we should do this more often."
"I couldn't agree more Don," she smiled and patted his cheek.
"So what are we now?"
"What do you mean?" Jo asked in her southern accent.
"Well after tonight, I believe I would like to get to know you on a more romantic level."
"Is this your way of asking me out Flack?"
"Um kind of... yeah," he rubs his neck. "You're a great woman and not pursuing you would be a big mistake on my part. We should at least give us a shot, nothing can't hurt if we at least try."
"I might have to take you up on that offer Don, I too would like to know you on a more romantic level."
"So I guess we came up with a conclusion."
Jo just nodded.
"Okay well good, anyways I should be heading home so I can sleep before heading into work."
"I have to do the same, tonight was great."
"Bye," Don nodded and turned around, but before he got too far, Jo grabbed at his arm and he turned around smiling. "Yes Jo?"
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
"I don't know, that depends."
"Depends on what?"
"If you feel comfortable doing this."
"We won't know if we don't try detective," Jo flirts softly.
"Of course," he nodded with a smile and closed the gap between them, he lowered his head down and brushed his lips against Jo's. He deepened the kiss as Jo's arms wrapped around his neck. He kissed her for a few more seconds, before pulling back.
"Wow Jo, and why haven't we done this before?"
"Maybe we were afraid of what it would do to our friendship."
He shrugs, "I don't know, but I enjoyed kissing you. I'll remember that the rest of the night."
"Don't think too much about it, or else you won't be able to sleep."
"Always the smart one."
"You have to give yourself more credit," she caressed his cheek, and kissed him softly on the lips once more.
"I'll see you tomorrow then Jo," he pulled her in for a hug, squeezing her lightly.
"Goodnight Don," she winked and went inside.
"Wow that went amazingly well," Don couldn't get the grin off his face as he went home for the night. The last thing on his mind was, how were they going to date and work together, but he figured that it wouldn't be too hard... they have known each other for a year and a half.
