"Hey Jack" Will says as he enters his friends appartment. Jack is sitting on the couch watching tv from under a blanket. "Hey!" Jack replies surprised. "What are you doing here this late?" Will sits down on the couch next to Jack. "I don't really know, I just wanted to tell you I'm proud of you, I guess. The way you handled things with Skip today." Jack smiles. "Aw Will! Shut up, I didn't do anything. You came up with the whole idea." "Maybe," Will says laughing a little. "but the things you said to him were beautiful and I think it really helped him." Will touches Jacks shoulder for a moment and smiles. A very subtle smile, it's hard to even see it. But Jack does. For few minutes, they just sit there in silence. It's not an uncomfortable silence though. The tv is still on, but Jack was never watching anyway, he was thinking. That's is something he doesn't seem to do that often. And it's true, he doesn't always think things through. But he does think. A lot actually. Especially about one thing, one person. It's not that hard to figure out who that could be, and Jack is surprised that no one has noticed all this time. Perhaps he is a better actor than he always thought.

He has no idea what to do. As years have gone by, he feels as if he's been throwing his whole life away. He has tried to move on several times, and he's dated plently of men. It just doesn't seem to work, that one person never leaves his mind for a minute, not even a second.

After a while, Jack breaks the silence. "Hey Will?" he asks softly, he looks at Will and then he looks down. "Yeah?" Will asks. "Umm.. Do you have any toothpaste? I ran out." Jack says stuttering. Will smiles. "Sure, I'll get you a tube." He laughs. "This is new though, usually you just take my stuff without asking." Jack smiles awkwardly as Will leaves to get the toothpaste. As he closes the door behind him, Jack stands up and starts to walk around. "You idiot! Toothpaste? Really? Why couldn't you just say what you wanted to say?" he whispers angrily to himself. Will enters the appartement again and hands Jack the toothpaste. "Here you go." "Thanks."

Will looks through the room, avoiding eye contact. "Jack, you didn't need any toothpaste, did you?" He says after a few seconds. "No. Well... I did actually. But it was not what I wanted to tell you." He confesses, while taking a very small step towards Will. He breathes in deeply, desperatly trying to find courage to say what he's about to say. He closes his eyes. He makes eyecontact with Will and breaks it again immediatly. That one short moment gave him the power to say it.

"I'm in love with you." He then says softly, his voice cracking a little. Right after he says it, he regrets it. His heart full of fear of what will happen next. But he's also very relieved. As if he has just taken off a jacket made of lead. For a moment Will just stands there without replying. Jack covers his face in his hands and Will runs his hair through his hand. "You're kidding, right?" He then says. Jack shakes his head. "No, I'm not kidding. I'm sorry Will, sorry if I messed things up. I just had to tell you, I couldn't live with this secret anymore. How can I keep hiding it, if it's all I think about? I'm sorry, I really a-" "Jack stop apologising." Will interrupts him. "It's not your fault and I don't blame you for not telling me." A faint smile appears on Jacks face. "You don't?" He asks. "No, after all... I never told you either." Will says softly, almost whispering. He looks at the floor and smiles. "Wait, what do you mean?!" Jack asks, he's trying to sound casual but he can't hide how shocked he is. Will looks him in the eyes and says: "I'm in love with you too, Jack. You're all I want, you're all I need." They both smile, their eyes sparking with happiness. Jack walks towards Will, and then they kiss.
