It was a beautiful day in Pallet town as a 5 year old boy was running around playing with the wild Pokemon when he hears his mother calling him.
"Ash! Ash!" His mom yelledN
"Coming mom! See you guys soon." Ash said goodbye to the Pokemon and runs to his mother and sees some trucks by a house near his home.
"Hey, mom, what's going on over there?",Her son asks pointing.
"We have some new neighbors and they're moving in today. So we're going to go over and introduce ourselves." Ash nodded, but was a bit shy when it came to meeting new people. He didn't knew whether they were nice or be mean to him.
The two of them walk over to meet a woman with orange hair and a man with dark blue hair. "Hello there we're your neighbors the Ketchums. It's nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you as well. I'm Norman Maple, and this is my wife Caroline.",the man greeted.
"Pleasure to meet you.",Caroline bows
"And this is my son Ash, Ash say hello."
Ash walks up slowly. "Uh hello there."
"Ah. He's adorable.",Caroline smiles making Ash blush in embarrasment.
"We have daughter about your age Ash. May come out and meet our neighbors!" Norman calls out.
A girl with brown hair, in a red dress comes out and meets them.
"Uh..hi.",Ash said wanting to start the conversation. "I'm Ash."
"I'm May." She said softly.
"Hey um do you want to play with me and my Pokemon friends?" Ash asks
May was shocked by this statement. "Uh..well.",she said traling off.
"What's wrong?",Ash asks.
"Sorry Ash, but May is afraid of Pokemon." Caroline said
He was shocked. "Afraid of Pokemon?"
Norman nods. "Just the sight of them makes her frightened."
"I'm sorry to hear that.",Delia said.
"Well the Pokemon I play with are the best they're really nice." Ash said trying to reassure her.
May still didn't look a bit keen on that. "I..I don't know.."
"May how about you and Ash go play while we finish unpacking." Norman suggested.
May looked up at him and nodded. "Ok daddy." The two kids were soon running around playing a game of Tag.
"Tag you're it!" May yells
Ash ran after her. "I'm gonna get you!"
As May ran a Caterpie crawls up a tree near her causing her to scream. "Aaah stay away!" She falls back onto the ground.
The bug type looked at her with confusion. "Cata?"
"May! You ok?",Ash appeared. "I heard you yell."
She backs up towards him. "Please d-don't let it hurt me."
Ash looks over to the Caterpie. "Don't worry May it won't bite." Ash holds out his arm and Caterpie crawls onto it. "See it's gentle."
May looked at them and saw Caterpie crawled on Ash's shoulder. "Come on, give it a try. I promise you he won't hurt you.",he said.
She reaches her hand out slowly and Caterpie moves its head towards her hand so she was petting it.
She smiles a bit. "Hey this is nice.",she said.
"Do you think you can let it crawl on your arm?",Ash asks.
She nods slowly as Caterpie crawls on her arm and smiles. "H-Hey you're kinda cute." May smiles.
"Cata!",Caterpie said happily.
"I told you the Pokémon here are nice!",Ash said with a grin on his face. May smiles as Caterpie nuzzles her.
Ash then asked May if she wanted to see the other Pokémon he greeted and she said yes. Ash took her to his favorite spot and called for the Pokémon. They all came towards them.
"Wow look at all of them." May said in awe.
"Yep and they're all my friends." Ash smiled. The nidoran looked up at May and they smiled.
"I think they like you May.",
May bends down and pets them. "Hey there."
"Careful, don't touch the stingers.",Ash warned her don't wanting her to be poisoned. She moves he hand over the stinger and rubs the back.
"These Pokemon are awsome Ash.",she said with a soft smile.
"I know. And I wanna see a whole lot more when I start my journey in a few years.",Ash said.
"What do you plan on doing on your journey?" She asks
Ash smiles with confidence. "I'm going to become a Pokemon Master."
"Pokemon Master?",she asks. "What's that?"
"The greatest Pokemon trainer of all time."
"Wow..that sounds like a big dream.",May said.
Ash nodded. "It is. I hope me and my Pokemon get there one day." May smiles. "Well I wish you good luck."
"Thanks May, so what's your dream?" Ash asks
She looked down. "I don't have a dream..sorry."
Ash puts his hand on her shoulder reassuringly. "Well why don't I help you find one then?"
"Y-you will?",she said with shockness.
"Of course May, we're friends right?",He asks.
"Y-Yeah I guess we are friends." May smiles. Ash grinned and the two spent the entire day playing with the Pokemon.
As the sunsets the two of them see their parents having dinner over at the Ketchums, as they were all sitting together Norman asks. "So what did you kids do today?"
"Ash showed me all the Pokemon in the forest and I made friends with a Caterpie!",May said excitedly. Both Norman and Caroline were shocked. "You what?"
May nodded. "It's true, Ash helped me made friends with Pokemon."
Norman looks over at him. "Well Ash I suppose I should thank you for helping May get over here fear of Pokemon."
"It was nothing sir. Really.",he said.
"Well I have a feeling you two are going to be good friends." Caroline said
"I can see that happening as well.",Delia said.
Both kids smile. "So May want to come over and play with me and the Pokemon again?" Ash asks.
"Yeah I'd love to.",she agreed.
Delia puts dinner down on the table. "Well to new friendships." Caroline said
"Here here." Norman agreed.
Ash and May smile in agreement.
(Time skip. About 5 years in the future. 2 more before the big journey)
Years later Ash was running towards May's house, he was wearing a blue vest and a red hat.
"I hope May's ready.",he said to himself while running towards the house.
He goes up to the door and knocks. "Coming!" When the door opens Ash sees a young boy with black hair and glasses. "Oh hey Ash." He smiled.
"Hey Max is May ready?" Ash asks
"Almost, still slow as usual nowaways.",he said.
Ash rolls his eyes. "Yeah May always seems to take forever."
"Here come on in." Max said as they walk inside.
"Thanks.",Ash sat on the couch.
"So Ash what do you my sister have planned for today?" Max asks.
"Professor Oak needs our help with all his Pokemon." Ash said.
"Man you guys are lucky.",He groans. "You guys get to help one of the greatest Pokemon professors in Kanto, and soon become Pokemon trainers. I still have a long way to go.",he said with a huff.
"Hey don't worry Max you'll get your chance soon." Ash chuckled
"Yeah in seven years.",he said with sarcasm.
"Hey Ash." Ash turns his head and sees May in her red shirt, bandanna and blue shorts.
"Hey May."
"You ready to go help Professor Oak?"
"You know it." Ash smiles standing up.
"Hey can you guys ask Prof. Oak if he needs an assistent soon? Cause I would totally take the offer!",Max said pleading.
The older kids chuckles. "Sure Max, we'll try to remember."
The two of them walk down the path to the lab. "Honestly that Max being Professor Oak's assistant is all he ever talks about." May saidN
"Well he is you're brother May.",Ash said.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She narrows her eyes.
Ash gulped and chose his next words carefully or else. "Well..he looks up at Prof. Oak, just like..you look up at me. Or inspired."
May's expression changes back to a smile. "Oh that makes sense."
He sighed with relief. 'I gotta watch what I say next time.'
They both arrive at the lab to see Professor Oak typing on his computer. "Professor Oak we're here!" Ash calls out.
He turns to them. "Ah Ash and May, right on time!"
"So what did you need our help with?" May asks.
"We just got a new import of Pokemon eggs and I wanted to show you two.",he got up and heads to his desk. On the table were two eggs one was dark blue and the other was orange and yellow.
"Wow!",They both said and headed towards it.
"What kind of egg's are they Professor?",Ash asks
"Well the Orange one is from Professor Birch's lab in Hoenn as for the blue I'm not a hundred percent sure." Professor Oak said.
Ash looks at the blue egg. "Well whatever is in them, they'll be awsome Pokemon, right May?"
"Yeah I'm excited to see what they'll be." May said looking at the orange one.
They felt that egg's pulsed a bit once they touched them. Both smile and look at each other. "Look at that they both moved." Ash said
"I think they might like us Professor.",May said.
Professor Oak smiles. "Well maybe when they hatch they could be your Pokemon, now could you both give me a hand with feeding the Pokemon?" He asks bringing out a cart of Pokemon food.
"Sure.",they put the eggs down, grabbed some Pokemon food bags and headed to the ranch outside.
Little did they know a shadow was watching them and grinned as they walked out of the room. "Finally I thought they never leaved.",he said. It was a man in dark clothing with a red R on the front of his shirt.
As they were outside feeding the Pokemon an alarm system went off.
"What's going on?!" May asks
"That's my security system!" Professor Oak said. They ran back into the lab to see that the two egg's were now gone.
"They're gone!",Ash gasped. "Who took them?!"
May runs to the window to see it had a big hole in it.
"Whoever it was, didn't went far!",she ran out the room and Ash followed her.
They looked around and spotted footprints heading towards the woods. "May this way!" Ash said.
They ran in a hurry to find a guy in a black uniform with the case running. The case must have the eggs in them.
"Hey you!",Ash yelled.
The man turns around. "Oh crap!" He tries running faster.
Unfrotunaly for him Ash and May knew the forest like the back of their hands from years of playing from it and run up another path.
"May, he's heading where the lake is! We'll cut'im off there!"
"Right!"
As the man runs by the lake he turns around to see Ash and May were gone. "Ha! Lost them!"
Suddenly Ash and May come from the top of the hill and tackle him to the ground.
"Ah! B-but how!?",he said as Ash pulled out rope from his bag and tied the man up. Soon some Pokemon from the ranch come over and grab the man.
"Wait where are the eggs?" May asks looking around.
Ash looks around and sees the two of them by the hill. "Over there."
Ash and May walk over and pick them up, but as they turn around May trips on a root and falls on Ash sending them rolling down the hill. When they reach the bottom they both feel a sensation on their lips, they open their eyes to see their lips were touching.
They quickly released and both were blushing furiously.
Suddenly both the eggs start to glow. "Ash look!" May said in May's arms a orange chick like Pokemon appeared and in Ash's hands a blue dog like Pokemon appeared.
"Tor?",the chick looked up at its surroundings.
The blue dog looked up as well. It felt something near him and saw Ash.
"Hey there little guy." Ash said.
'F-father?',it spoke but not through its mouth.
"Huh did-did you just speak to me?" Ash asks surprised.
'Yes..I have the ability to talk through like humans telepathically.',he said.
"That's incredible, my name's Ash what's yours?"
"I'm Riolu pleasure to meet you father." He bowed.
"Father? I'm not a dad.",Ash said.
He looks to see Torchic was hugging May affectionately. "Oh aren't you the cutest thing!",May squeals and hugged her back.
Ash stands up. "We better get back to Professor Oak and tell him what happened."
"Yeah boy he's is going to be surprised." May looks up at him, but immediately the kiss comes back to mind and they both blush. They headed back to the lab with the Pokemon in their hands.
"Incredible so these Pokemon came from the eggs." Professor Oak said examining them.
"We were surprised they hatched right in our hands.",May said.
"Well it seems these Pokemon have become quite attached to you both." Professor Oak said
That was true. Riolu and Torchic were very close to the two.
"Let me see what the National Dex can tell us about these two." Prof. Oak scans the two Pokemon.
"Torchic the Chick Pokemon. A fire burns inside, so it feels very warm to hug. It launches fireballs of 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit."
"Riolu the Emanation Pokemon. It uses the shape of auras, which change according to emotion, to communicate with others."
"Awsome.",Ash said with amazement but then remembered something. "Hey what happened to that guy?"
"After you kids caught him the Pokemon who live here brought him back and which point the police came and took him to jail." They smiled as the now fugitive was now serving hard times.
"So what's going to happen to these two?" May asks
"Well since you both seem to have bonded with them how about you both keep them?" He smiles
"Are you serious?!",they exclaimed happily.
"Even if you can't go on your journey yet, you both can still have a Pokemon if you earned it and you both have definitely earned them." Prof. Oak said holding out Pokeballs.
Ash and May smiled and take the spheres out his hands and turned to the native Pokemon. "Well you two, looks like we're your new trainers.",May said.
"Torchic!" Torchic smiles and Riolu simply nods. They both touch the Pokeballs and they instantly click.
"Boy will Gary be jealous about this.",Ash chuckled.
"I think it's best we don't tell him about this. Otherwise he'll pester me to get him one.",Oak sighs.
"Agreed." They both said.
"Well why don't you both head home and get some rest it's been a crazy day."
They both look at each other and then blush.
"S-sure..",they turned away.
As they walked back to their homes there was an uncomfortable silence between them. May broke it. "So..uh..Ash?"
"Y-yeah?"
"About earlier..you know." She stuttered.
"Oh..",he looked at the ground. Not wanting to face her. "Yeah..that was...something."
"Uh Ash what do you think we should...well ...do?" She asks.
"Well if you wanted...we could um...become a couple." He said whispering the last part.
"Huh? What was that?",she asks.
Ash jumped. "Uh..nothing! Forget I said something!"
"Well what if...for now we keep what happened between us?" May said
"Yeah, I agree." They both nod as they arrive back at their houses.
(3 years later in the future.)
Morning finally came in Pallet and Ash yawned as he gets out of bed, he looks at the clock, 7:10 A.M. He got in the shower, and after that he gets dressed.
He was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a light blue half Pokeball symbol on the bottom and short dark blue sleeves, light blue tracksuit pants, blue sneakers with a white stripe on the bottom and two dark blue half-ovals on the front, black fingerless gloves with a big light green stripe on the end and a red cap with a big black oval shape in the middle and green Pokeball symbol in front over his raven coloured hair with a green bag that had black stripes and a red circle in the centre on his back.

"Alright Riolu today's the big day we've been training for." Ash smiled
'I'm ready.' Riolu smiled as he went inside his Pokeball.
He head downstairs to see his mother was already cooking breakfast. "Morning!",he said
"Morning sweetie are you excited?" She asks
"Yup. Finally old enough to travel.",he said happy as ever.
"And best of all May will be coming along with you, honestly I can hear the wedding bells already." Delia smiles
Ash blushes deeply. "Mom! I told you me and May are just friends!"he facepalmed.
Delia giggles. "Sure you are.",she said
"I'll see you later!" He runs out the door.
She saw him off and sighs. "Just like his father. Always rushing.",she said with a smile. 'I wish you came home..Red.'
As Ash ran out he looks to see May leaving her house now. "Hey Ash!" May looked like she was wearing the same clothes but were different.
She was wearing a sleeveless orange mini-tunic with a white stripe, two white pockets and a black collar over black lycra shorts, black ankle socks, white, black and orange slip on shoes, black and white gloves with green and black wristbands, she replaced her red bandana for green one., and a green fanny pack.

"You ready to start our journey?" She asks running up to him.
"Oh yeah let's go get our Pokedex and then we can start." Ash said as they walked to the lab. When they arrived a crowd of people were in front of the lab.
"Gary! Gary! He's the best! He's gonna beat them like the rest!",a group of cheerleaders cheered.
"Excuse me, pardon me."Ash started to go past them with May following him and he bumped into someone.
"Hey watch it!",a young man with brown spiky hair, a short-sleeved dark gray shirt and purple cargo pants and black shoes. He also carries a light blue pack around his waist, and has purple bands around his wrists.

He grinned when he saw Ash. "Well if it isn't Ashy-boy! About time you get here!",he said in a arrogant tone.
Ash rolled his eyes. "Hello Gary."
"Well Ashy boy you snooze you lose and you're behind right from the start!" He takes out his Pokeball and spins it.
"Yeah great Gary now if you'll excuse us we need to go inside." May said walking by him.
"Now hang on a minute, May.",Gary said making her stop and turn to him. "How's about a beautiful girl like you start travelling with a future Pokemon Champion?",he said flirting with her.
"Ugh take a hike Gary I'm not interested in being one of you cheerleaders." May said with disgust.
"You'll change your mind eventually.",Gary said not taking no for answer and hopped in a car. "And now I am off, Pallet Town! I promise you! When I return I will become a Pokemon Master and make this place proud!",he announced and the crowd cheered and he drove off with his cheerleaders.
"What I wouldn't give to shut him up." Ash said
"I hope we don't run into him soon. I swear how can a jackass like him be related to a nice guy like Prof. Oak?",she said.
Ash shrugged. "I don't know, but I feel bad for both him and Daisy."
They both headed up the steps and Ash knocked on the door.
"Come in!" They both enter the lab to see Prof. Oak at his desk.
"Hey Ash, May." Professor Oak turns around
"Hey Prof., we came to get our Pokedex's.",May said. They saw them on the table and were about to pick them up, but Prof. Oak stopped them.
"Actually kids, I have better Pokedex's for you two.",he said and pulled out two devices. "These are the Nationaldex's they have data from Pokemon from all regions."
"But why give'im to us?",Ash asks.
"Consider these, thanks for the years of being my little helpers.",he smiles.
Ash and May grinned and takes them. He also gives them 5 Pokeballs each. "Thanks Prof.!"
"I wish you both the best of luck on your journey."
"Thanks Professor." They both walk out to see their parents waiting at the bottom of the stairs.
"There's our future couple!",Norman said jokingly and the two teens blushed.
"Mr. Maple!/Daddy!",they both said embarresed.
The three adults laugh. "Oh it's funny every single time." Delia said.
"We just came to wish you both the best of luck." Caroline said.
They both sighed. "Well thanks.",May said.
"I wish I could go with you guys.",Max says.
"Don't worry Max you'll get your chance, besides with us gone Prof. Oak is going to need help." Ash said.
Max smiled widely. "I won't let'im down! You take care of my sister."
They hug their families good bye and start walking down Route 1.
