It had been a long, exhausting week for the Bakuras.

Ryou had been busy with school every night, all night.

White Mage tried to help his master the best he could...

Of course, he was a pawn, and didn't exactly know very much about the real world, other than what he knew from experience.

So he wasn't very much assistance.

Other than making his master a sandwich.

The only thing Thief King knew about homework was that it was evil.

And not his kind of evil.

Pure evil.

You know something is evil when not even the King of Thieves wants to look at it.

So he didn't even want to touch that stuff.

"Landlord. ...You're not still working on that, are you?" Yami just had to ask, after the third day of science homework.

"No," Ryou shook his head, plopping another aspirin into his mouth, "This is another project."

The darkness muttered, going off to the game room and his host went back to stressing over the never-ending work.

Thursday wasn't much different.

That day, White Mage had managed to convince the host to sit down in the living room with him and Thief King, instead of the hard chair at the table.

Ryou had an oddly, almost suspiciously nice conversation with the two spirits, and they ended up watching a movie.

As it turns out, it's not so easy to get work done while sitting on a soft couch.

When the movie ended, Ryou realized how late it was, and how little he had done, then went right back to working at the table.

"B-But, Masterrr!" The mage whined, seeing that his plan to get his master to relax failed.

"Told ya it wouldn't work, Mage." Thief King snickered, laying back.

"Hmph!"

Ryou was awake all night, doing nothing but homework.

It was Friday when Ryou couldn't bare to touch one more page.

After a full week of nothing but torturous and stressful work, he wasn't sure how much more his mind could take.

And so he sat back in the small wooden chair, letting his eyes wander around the room.

There had to be some kind of entertainment...

He had to question his sanity when he got up with a giggle, taking the ring off.

It only took half a minute after Ryou stuck the ring into the oven, when Yami appeared right behind him, with arms crossed and an angry look all over his face.

"What the hell are you doing, Landlord?"

Ryou looked up at the spirit, not even bothering to try and look innocent.

He pointed to the piece of metal in the oven, with a crazed giggle, "Look, Yami! Isn't this amusing?"

Yami didn't need to whack him over the head twice before he opened the door and took the burning metal out, putting it back around his neck with only a few of grunts.

"Soul room. Now."

Ryou grinned as if that was just what he wanted to hear, disappearing into his soul immediately, "'Kay!"

Ugh.

Yami was sure about one thing.

Next week, no school.
