"Just practise on me, ok?" Chat said. It was almost 10:00 o'clock at night. They had just finished patrol and were sitting on one of the top platforms of the Eiffel Tower, their legs dangling off the edge, heads resting on the beams. Ladybug inhaled the cool air sharply. "Ok, here goes." Chat nodded encouragingly. "I love you. I didn't know how to tell you but I do. You are sweet, you are caring, you are nice. You are one of the kindest hearts I have ever encountered and that's why you have mine. I loved you from the first day I met you. Whenever I'm around you I'm speechless, because you don't just take my breath away, you take everything away. My insides turn to jelly, my heart explodes, my legs become numb. I think you are absolutely amazing." It pained Chat to know that his lady loved somebody other than him so much. Tears welled behind his lids but he forced them away. He suggested this so he would cope. Somewhere though, deep down, he hoped. Maybe she loved him just as much as he loved her, but no. He was just an old alley Chat. She was a kind, loving, heroic soul. She would also never be his. "I love you Adrien Agreste, and I always will." She finished breathlessly. Chats eyes were the size of saucers almost bulging from his head. He jumped back, leaping to his feet. "M'LADY!" He shrieked, a deep red colour spreading across his face like ink. "What? Was it that bad?" She whispered, slowly getting up as well. "No!" He exclaimed. "There is something I need to show you." She had a sinking feeling of what he was about to do. "Plagg, claws in!" He said, clear as day. She clenched her eyes shut. "No chat! We can't!" She murmured. He slowly pulled her hands away from her eyes. "Lady please. Just one peek." She relaxed a little and started to open her eyes. Shock flooded her. Adrien's arms swept her up as she collapsed. Her knees buckled and she fell, her head swimming. "M'lady please take off the mask." He whispered in her ear. She glanced up at him and lowered her head in defeat. "Tiki spots off." She mumbled. The ground leapt up to meet her. She arched her back as pain laced up her spine. She sat sprawled across the ground. "You are dissapointed aren't you." She said, standing up weakly. Adrien just stared at her, in confusion, but mainly surprise. "M-ari-nette?" He whispered. Tears welled in her eyes daring to spill over. She slowly started to walk down the stairs when something pulled her back. Before she could say anything she warm lips crashed into hers. A loud clap of thunder rang out over Paris. Warm summer rain poured over them, but they didn't care. He placed his hands on her waist and closed the gap between them. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Mari," Adrien mooned into her mouth. Molten lava felt like it was flowing out from her insides. This was it.
