This was written for Borra Week on Tumblr. It's actually the first fic I've published publicly! Hope you enjoy it.

Bolin entered the Sato mansion, returning from his day at the arena, just as he had every day for the past few months. But tonight was different. Asami and Mako weren't in the parlor, laughing and talking as they normally were.

"Hello?" Bolin called, growing more confused by the moment. "Mako? Asami? Is anybody here?"

"In here, Bo!" called a female voice from the dining room. A female voice that most definitely didn't belong to Asami.

"Korra?" Bolin asked, by now completely puzzled. "Why are you here? I mean," he hurried to correct himself, "I'm really glad you are, but you don't usually come over this early, and —"

Korra approached him as he entered the room, smiling slightly as she sashayed to the door. Her eyes sparkled. "I guess I have a question for you," she replied.

Bolin had barely taken in her words when he looked around at the room. "Why is the table set like that?" he cried as he saw the tablecloth and fine china, the baskets of rolls and small covered platters.

Korra chuckled. "Why don't you let me do the talking?" she mock-chided. "It's because I wanted to make dinner special tonight, Bo."

"Is this about that question?" Bo murmured, as the pieces began to come together in his mind.

"Yes, it is," Korra said simply. "Look, Bolin… I love you."

"I know you do. I love you, too."

She smiled. "I'm glad. And I've come to realize that I want to be with you forever. So, Bolin — will you marry me?"

Bolin blushed, even as he smiled widely. "I - well - you - yes! Of course!" Korra took the few steps she needed to reach him, then embraced him as she kissed him lovingly.

"But, Korra," Bolin said, a bit sadly, as they pulled apart, "I don't have a necklace for you."

Korra shook her head. "That's okay, Bo. We can get one later. For now, we have a really nice meal to celebrate."

They approached the table together. "You made it yourself?" Bolin asked, trying to hide his skepticism.

"Well — with some help," Korra admitted, a bit sheepishly.

A grunt came from behind the door to the kitchen. "A lot of help!" Mako snorted, followed by a hissed "Mako!" from Asami.

Korra laughed joyously. "You two can come in," she called.

The pair pushed eagerly into the room. "Congratulations, little brother," Mako said happily as he wrapped Bolin in a bear hug.

"Good going, Korra," Asami said with a smile before turning to Bolin. "I'm really happy for you two," she told him as she gave him a quick hug.

"Well, if we don't eat now, it's going to get cold, and I didn't cook this food for it not to be enjoyed," Mako said, a bit crossly.

"'I'?" Korra exclaimed. "I made —" Mako cut her off with a glare. "Well, I helped, anyway," she muttered.

Asami looked at the newly engaged couple. "I'm proud of you two," she said. "You're really special."

Bolin blushed as he turned to face Korra. "Yeah. She really is one of a kind."

Korra grinned. "So are you, forever boy. So are you."
