This is going to be a drabble centric fic, I've seen a few different alphabet drabble fics in other fandoms and I got inspired to write my own.
This is the first fic I've ever written and I'm hoping that it's turned out well.
I'm in the process of writing another more epic storyline fic that I'm hoping to have posted soon.
A – Absolute Beginners – David Bowie
Dean would never admit out loud that he thought of himself as a beginner at anything. Not when he got handed Sammy as his father ran back into the burning house. Not when going up against a new monster. But when it comes to admitting how he feels and talking about his emotions. That he has no problem admitting that he is a beginner at, even it's only to himself.
When it comes to the make shift family he's had and lost, It's always with a bitter sweet memory. Losing first his dad, then Ellen and Jo and finally Bobby he's begun to learn that it's not a weakness to tell those that you love how you feel. He's not surprised that Charlie has wormed her way into his heart but she has and he couldn't be happier with having this spunky little red head in his life. As for Sammy, he's learning to always let his little brother know he's there and he loves him. Having to stand there and watch his brother go to hell and back, literally, really was an eye opener. His brother means the world to him and he's not afraid to let Sam know that.
But when it comes to his feelings for Cas, that he has no idea what to do with. Having this angel come into his life and flip the whole thing on its head was the last thing he was expecting when he was dragged from Hell. Cas has been a presence in his life that he wasn't at all expecting. Being with the angel really has helped him look at humanity in a different light. Even when Cas went his "I'm God" rampage and hurt so many, Dean still was so broken when he thought he had lost Cas forever and was thought he was never going to be able to tell him how he really felt.
Now knowing that there is so much on the line, and knowing that his life is never guaranteed. He's got to admit that even though he's a total beginner at this whole "Love" thing he's got to face up to his feelings and tell Cas how he feels…
