A Meeting in the Garden
I do not own Naruto
It was a quiet day and the air was brisk. Spring had come and winter was over, and the trees and plants around were starting to bloom. It was such a beautiful sight, and I sighed, breathing in the crisp air. I was walking toward the abandoned Uchiha compound to tend the .
Sasuke… It had been such a long time since I had seen him last. I still remember that day when he abandoned his village, his home, his friends, and… me. I was shaken out of my thoughts when a voice called out my name.
"Hinata… It's been awhile." Everything froze. I knew that voice! I turned, it couldn't be, Sasuke would never return. As I turned around, I found myself face to face with no one other than Sasuke Uchiha.
"S-Sasuke! What are you… why are you here?" I whispered, my voice filled with pain and sorrow. Seeing him again was throwing my heart into turmoil, I had loved him for a long time, and meeting him again, in this garden, was unearthing the feelings I had long since tried to forget.
"Hinata, you really are naïve, aren't you? You of all people should know why I have returned." Sasuke said, a smirk on his face. I gasped, shocked. His response caught me off guard.
"Wh-What do you mean? How would I know what you of all people are thinking… you left us so long ago… left me…" I trailed off, tears springing to my eyes. It was no use denying it any longer; I was hopelessly in love with Sasuke Uchiha. I turned to leave, I didn't want Sasuke to see me cry, but before I could, a hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me into a muscular chest. I gasped again as I was wrapped in a warm embrace. I was about to protest, but I was silenced by a warm pair of lips pressing against my own. The kiss was short but sweet, and Sasuke pulled away first.
"You silly girl, Hinata, I came back for you…" Sasuke whispered in my ear. At that moment I knew that I no longer needed to worry, because no matter what happened, I would be safe as long as I was with Sasuke.
