As best friends.
Hello!
So, been on fanfiction for a little while now!
However this is my first Scott and Bailey story! I love the show and after watching all 4 seasons again I came up with this little one shot! I really hope you enjoy it!
This takes place at the end of season 4.
-Janet and Rachel are best friends.
I hope you enjoy, please review to tell me what you think!
Disclaimer – I own nothing.
As the both of them stood outside, listening to whatever music was playing it was strange to think that when they went back to work Gill Murray would no longer be their boss.
It was strange to think about all they had been through in the last few years. Kidnappings, stabbings, love affairs, and that was just the lives of the officers in MIT, without adding to that the awful and sickening cases they'd had.
"What do you think she'll do?" Janet asked after moments of silence.
"Who knows, Godzilla is unpredictable." Janet laughed at her friends' comment, before taking another sip of wine.
"I say give it a year, she'll be begging to come back."
"Is that a bet, Janet Scott?"
"Of course it is!" Rachel laughed, before they both went back to a comfortable silence, staring at whatever moved in the beer garden, smiling occasionally at the snippets of conversation they could hear inside.
"You ever think about leaving?"
"All of the time." Janet replied. Before turning to the younger detective.
"What about you?" Rachel nodded, before shaking her head.
"I don't know what I'd do if I wasn't here." Janet smiled, she knew her friend wouldn't survive, she also knew Gill Murray had a big part to play in that.
"We owe most of our careers to that woman." The Brunette smiled, before agreeing with the other woman.
"Yeah…" Rachel didn't know what to say. She knew that now wasn't the right time for sarcastic comments.
"Been a hell of a year."
"You can say that again, pal." Rachel replied, before turning to face the door.
"We should go back in." Janet said to the younger woman who was looking through the door at her colleagues and other people dance, sing and make fools of themselves with the help of alcohol.
"You know you're my best friend, right?" Rachel asked, just as Janet was about to move.
Janet wanted to laugh, call her an idiot, but instead she just nodded.
"Believe it or not, you're my best friend too." The blonde smiled before holding out her hand to her best friend, pulling her inside, pulling her to the dance floor, so they could dance off the hell of the last year.
But not as colleagues, as best friends.
I hope you guys liked it! Thank you so much for reading!
Please review, and let me know what you thought!
-Until next time, Bethanyy.
