YAY! TryingToBeASoprano posted something! It's short, but here's a one-shot I wrote. (Not set in Amsterdam) Also, the cover for this fic is mine so please please give me credit!
"This is so beautiful." He said. "What?" I asked. "This moment." He replied. "Nothing too special about it I don't think."
"It doesn't seem special, but it is."
"It's quiet," I remarked.
"Exactly. Quiet."
For a moment I didn't know what he was talking about but then I realized. A beautiful quiet moment, when the world was still sleeping. It seemed like we were the only two people in the world. I know it's cheesy but I don't care. The moon was bright and I could still smell the salty night air. I love him. I love him so much. I could say it a million times over but it still wouldn't be enough. "Hazel Grace?" He looked at me, his eyes twinkling.
"Yeah?"
"I love you." He said. I just stared at him for a while. I looked into his eyes and saw my reflection. I eventually got lost in them. His eyes were so blue and so beautiful that I could look into them forever. "Okay?" I then fell into his embrace and we remained just like that, locked in each others arms, looking over the silver flaked ocean. I pressed my lips to his and rested my arms on his shoulders.
"Okay." I whispered back. It was a beautiful moment. I didn't know how many heartbeats my heart would grant me, so I did my utmost best to remember this forever. Van Houten might have been an alcoholic prick, but he did teach us one thing, some infinities are bigger than others. Though ours was very small, it was still an infinity. And that, I will never forget.
I hope you liked it! If you did, please review, follow and favorite!
