FROZEN HEART, FLAMING SPIRIT
He has always heard people being compared to fire or ice. Two different people were said to be as different as fire and ice, complete opposites. But, every time he looks at her, he finds himself wondering why someone couldn't be both at the same time.
She's the girl who wants to see the world, the girl who wants to get away. Her spirit is the very essence of fire, red-hot and glowing. At the very same time, her heart is one of ice. She may be fiery, but she is ice-cold, too. Her veins are run with blood of both fire and ice. She doesn't like people, they just aren't interesting enough. All of them were conformists, including him, for the most part. The fire in her wouldn't conform to society's expectations but the ice in her just made her naturally cold towards them all. She had no friends, people had tried befriending her, but people were just something she hated.
He knew that most people wouldn't understand the frenzy of thoughts darting through his head, they wouldn't understand his thoughts on the girl who sat beside him in Charms. The icy, friendless girl who managed to be fiery and passionate as well could never be understood. She could not be understood by him or her family or the rest of the world. He isn't even sure she understands herself.
That was partly why he was madly, completely, irrevocably, unequivocally in love with her. He would make her his. Someday, the girl with the frozen heart and flaming spirit would be his.
