Scully knocked on Mulder's door
Scully knocked on Mulder's door. She couldn't believe that he had gotten her up once again at 2:30 in the morning. He knew exactly what to say to pique her interest that she would be compelled to get up, get dress and knock on his door at 2:30 in the morning.
The door opened next door a young blonde came out giggling. Scully rolled her eyes. It was one of Colin's new conquests she suspected. She liked Colin the accountant much better than Mulder's last neighbor. It wasn't because he wasn't a psychic killer although that was a plus. But he actually got Mulder to do regular guy things. Like go to basketball games, drink beer, play fantasy football.
The girl giggled again. Scully cleared her throat to make her presence known. The girl stopped and looked at her. "Night Colin." She said kissing him again. Then the blonde turned her attention to Scully. "Nice shoes." She said mockingly.
Scully looked down at her feet. She still had on her fuzzy blue sparkle bunny slippers her nephew had picked out exclusively for his Aunt Dana. She looked back up and smiled slightly at the blonde.
Colin peeked his head out of the door. "Hi Dana." He said smiling.
"Colin." Scully replied knocking a bit harder on Mulder's door.
Colin kissed the blonde again and bid her good night by slapping her on the ass. The blonde giggled as she walked to the elevator. Colin gave Scully a cheeky grin and also said good night.
Scully sighed and knocked again, this time Mulder answered.
"Door was open." He said waving her inside.
"Mulder it would have been nice of you to tell me that you were going to leave the door open. I felt like I was making a booty call."
He noticed that she was wearing her PJs and smiled. "No need to dress for me."
Scully didn't reply. Once there was a time when she would come dress to the nines to Mulder's, suit, heels, make up. It wasn't long until she traded the suit for sweats, heels for sneakers, and make up for a baseball cap. Dismissing the huge smile on Mulder's face Scully made a beeline to the couch where she stretched out wrapping herself in the afghan that draped it. "Mulder what was so important that you had to dragged me out of bed?"
Still wearing his boyish grin he sat down on the coffee table. He handed her a file. Scully thumbed through its contents. He edged closer to her. "Well."
"I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at?"
Mulder cocked his head to the side. "Don't you see it?"
Scully sighed. "All I see are trees." She handed Mulder the photos back. "Planning on building a log cabin?" She said closing her eyes slightly.
Mulder moved to the couch with her, forcing her to sit up. "Look at them again please?"
She sighed. Mulder sounded just like her nephew when he asked her if she liked the fuzzy blue sparkle bunny slippers he picked out especially for her. And like she told her nephew Scully mustard up a smile and said, "yes."
Mulder leaned back on the coach. "Amazing isn't?"
Still trying to see what Mulder was talking about Scully scanned the pictures.
"I booked us a flight for tomorrow morning to Vancouver."
"Vancouver?" Scully whined.
"Yeah, that's where they spotted it."
Scully put down the pictures and looked at Mulder. "We just got back from a wild goose chase in Miami. Don't you want to unwind? Chill out?"
Mulder laughed. "Chill out? Booty call? Scully have you been watching MTV with out me?" He asked with an arched eyebrow. Scully laughed.
Mulder now made himself more comfortable on the couch. Scully adjusted herself. "Mulder we run and run. Never stopping to smell the roses."
"I'm allergic to roses." Mulder took some of the cover for himself. "Scully." He said sleepily.
"Yeah Mulder." She replied half asleep.
"You didn't see it did you?"
"Not a damn thing."
Soon Mulder and Scully were asleep on his couch.
