Rev turned around. "Almost."
Lexi shook her head and continued reading. Rev stirred the liquid a few times and took a sip. Deeming it cooled enough, he drank the rest of it quickly. A weird feeling crawled over him. Something wasn't right. It didn't taste like coffee. His eyes widened at the realization of what it was. "who-was-the-last-one-to-buy-groceries?" He asked
"Duck." Everyone but Duck replied.
Duck turned around. "Ya, so?"
"What's-in-the-sugar-jar?"
"Well, the store was out of real sugar so I bought artificial sweetener. Besides, you eat too much sugar anyway." He sat back down.
"DUCK!-I'm-A-CHOO!!!" Rev's sneeze threw him up against the wall. He slowly picked himself up. "I'm-aler-A-CHOO!" Another huge sneeze escaped him. "I'm-allergic-to-it!"
"To artificial sweetener?" Lexi questioned, not believing him.
"I-know-it-sounds-crazy-but-it's-A-CHOO!" Rev rubbed his head. "But-it's-true!-My-family-has-a-history-of-it."
Ace opened his eyes. "Maybe you should go see Tech. I bet he has something to help you."
Rev's eyes brightened. "Ya!-Good-idea-Ace!" He zipped out of the room.
After explaining what had happened, Rev and Tech took the elevator to the medical lab. As they walked out of the elevator, another sneeze sent Rev flying back into the elevator. Tech pushed the button to stop it from going back downstairs. Rev walked out dizzily. "I've-got-to-stop-doing-that." Tech shook his head slightly and went to check for allergy medicine.
A few minutes later, Tech and Rev were sitting on one of the med lab's beds. "I'm-guessing-that-a-medicine-for-an-allergic-reaction to-artificial-sweetner-has-ever-been-invented-right"
Tech hopped off the bed. "Until today." Rev brightened up. Tech to the rescue yet again! He enjoyed it when Tech had that 'I can do anything' tone in his voice. He followed his freind curiously as he set to work.
About one half-an-hour and exactly 22 sneezes later, Tech held up a small bottle with a purple-ish liquid in it. "This should do it." He handed the bottle to Rev.
Rev took of the cap and sniffed it. "GAH!-This-stuff-smells-horrible!" He covered his beak with his free hand.
"Don't worry. It may smell like rotting fish, but it tastes like..." He thought of a flavour that would make Rev take it,"...chocolate"
Rev's eyes brightened. "Really?" Tech nodded. Rev took off the cap once again. He hesitated before drinking it. Rev started to gag. He took a deep breath. "TEEEEEECH!-You-said-it-tasted-like-choclate!-You-lied!-It-tastes-like-rotting-fish!"
"I know, but I had to get you to take it. Did you want to stop sneezing? Cause I think that's why you came to me." Tech was hurt slightly at Rev's sharp words.
Rev could sense that he hurt his friend. "I'm-sorry-Tech.-I-know-that-you-just-wanted-me-to-drink-it-cause-you-are-a-great-friend-for-looking-after-me-Thank-You."
Tech smiled and put his arm around Rev's shoulders. "You're welcome." The two walked out of the lab together.
