-Maddy (CyanideRaven)

Raven turned in her bed that night. After the kiss between her and Gar, she teleported back to her room after locking eyes with him for mere seconds. Nice one, Raven. Good way to embarrass yourself. She tossed in her bed, kicking the sheets every which way. Maybe if I meditate... She thought. It was now 2:47 AM. Without knowing her exact destination, Raven began to walk toward the elevator. Pressing a random button, the elevator began going up. The elevator stopped, and Raven found herself on the roof. She walked forward into the cool air and sat at the edge of the Titans Tower. Letting her feet dangle over the edge, she looked at the lights across Jump City. Although Raven usually foud herself engrossed in more 'natural' beauties and interests, she marveled at the manmade starry field of city lights.

She began to wonder if she was the only person that thought about jumping while up here on the roof.

She knew she wouldn't do it, but the thought was teasing at her brain. All of a sudden, she heard shoes shuffling against concrete behind her.

What the hell is she doing here? Beast Boy thought. Almost positive he was the only one still awake in the tower, he decided to go to the peaceful roof to help fight off some of his insomnia. He liked to look at the lights of the city; they made him feel alive. The roof was his favorite place of the entire tower. He could see the ocean on one side of the tower, and the other side was a sea of beautiful city lights. He remained silent, waiting for Raven to say something. He smelled her lavander perfume. He drank in her presence while looking over at the bright lights and neon signs below.

It's too damn quiet, Gar thought. He cleared his throat. "Uh... Hey, Rae. What are ya doing?" He finally said. Raven just stared at the lights, unmoved. "I'm okay I guess." The Empath said. He shifted his feet. "Um... I just wanted to apologize about earlier. It was uh... I don't know. I've kind of felt this way about you for a long time, and... I just don't know, Rae. I tried to stop these feelings and... I just can't I guess... I'm so sorry Rae." He said as he looked at the ground. Raven stood. She walked over to him, and to his (and her) surprise, she wrapped her arms around his narrow, muscular waist. She rested her head on his shoulder as best as she could (he was significantly taller than her) and held him close. "I understand." She whispered into his chest.

She'll never know how much I love her.
