Disclaimer: I do not own Alphas or any of the characters

A/N: So I decided to try writing from the point of view of a character we don't get to see a lot of and Sullivan's confrontation with Rosen in Catch and Release gave me the perfect angle to work with. Plus I like Agent Sullivan.

Agent Kathy Sullivan took her job seriously, which was no mean feat when that job involved looking out for and helping a Doctor and his team of five super-powered, crime fighting, human beings.

She didn't pretend to understand how the five of them managed to work together and she sure as hell didn't pretend to understand how each of the teams members' powers worked. She had a firm grasp of the basics, and she had a limited understanding of how their powers had been acquired (Rosen and once explained it to her in great detail, but it was not something she committed to memory).

It didn't matter that she didn't know everything about them. She wasn't paid to be a fountain of knowledge; she was paid to protect them, and protect them she would, not that they made her job any easier for her.

The Skylar case certainly hadn't done her any favours. Rosen and his team had gone against the wishes of the agency as a result of Nina Theroux's intervention and she had been left to clean up after them. Convincing Clay that Rosen's report was legitimate and that the team were of no threat to anyone had been no mean feat. When she had told Rosen that protecting them was the hardest part of her job, she hadn't been kidding.

Agent Kathy Sullivan took her job seriously; it didn't mean that it was easy.
