Before He Cheats
Finn was just finishing pulling his shirt down over his hopefully-soon-to-be-six-pack when a furious knocking pounded at the door. Before Finn could even respond, Kurt pushed the door open.
"Dude!" Finn jumped back. "Geez, what if I was shirtless or something, man?" Finn hated the idea of anyone seeing him shirtless.
Kurt seemed to lack the concern Finn had. "Well that's a plus to being brothers, it wouldn't have mattered." He flashed a not-so-friendly smile towards Finn.
Finn glared at his step brother dumbly. "Everything okay, dude? You seem to be a little...pissy."
"Oh, I don't know," Kurt shrugged his shoulders suggestively. "Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my brother is a lying, dirty, cheater. Sound familiar Finn?" He shot subtle daggers Finn's way.
Finn momentarily froze. Crap. Did Kurt know? Did he know about him and...Quinn? No, there's absolutely no way he ever could. He eyed Kurt suspiciously. Wow, it sure was hard to take him seriously when he was practically wearing a blouse. He shook off his nervous expression. "I don't know what you're talking about..." Did he sound convincing enough?
Kurt shook his head and sighed out a laugh. "Oh Finn," He took a seat at the end of Finn's large, navy blue bed. "I knew Sam's blonde hair was from a bottle, I predicted 's vest obsession before it even unfortunately came about, and I knew Blaine was gay about five seconds after I looked at him." Kurt smiled at the very thought. He always bragged over his tremendous gaydar. "So did you really think that I, Kurt Hummel, would not catch on to you and Quinn's little hidden romance?" He crossed his hands and smiled sweetly up at Finn.
Wow Finn thought. He should have known Kurt would be the first to figure this out. He was like a modern Sherlock Holmes when it came to absolutely anything scandalous; if he wasn't supposed to know it, he would see it all the more clearer.
Kurt rubbed the palms of his moisturized hands along the white denim that covered his legs. "And you couldn't even forgive poor ." He shook his head. "It's a shame."
Kurt's stepbrother looked as though someone had just told him he was pregnant. "Now wait a minute, I have reason for breaking things off with Rachel. I couldn't trust her; she cheated on me." Finn was getting worked up just thinking about Rachel's fling with Puck. He couldn't seem to trust anyone nowadays.
"She cheated," Kurt agreed. "Cheating, exactly what you're assisting Quinn in doing to Sam."
Finn stood dumbfounded. He'd never thought about it that way..."It's not the same," He started; but he knew it was exactly the same.
Kurt stood up from the bed and was now only about a foot away from Finn's scrunched up face. He stared deep into Finn's twinkling eyes. "You're a hypocrite, Finn." The words sat in the air for a moment, but quickly set in, causing a sudden tension between the two boys.
"Oh," Kurt chirped, breaking the awkward silence. "And dinner will be ready in five." And with that, Kurt spun on his heel strut back out into the hall, slamming the door behind him, leaving a shell shocked Finn.
