"Hey Annie," said Jimmy softly as he took a seat at the bar next to the woman holding a beer in her hand.
She looked at him tremulously. Uncertain of how he felt himself, he reached for his Stetson. "Welcome home cowboy."
Settling the hat on her head with great care, his fingers were slow to leave her as their eyes caught.
Cupping her chin between his thumb and index finger, Jimmy never broke the trance as he leaned in closer.
He saw her eyes close just before he pressed his lips to hers, and then he was closing his own and giving into the sensations.
Later, Jimmy ran his fingers through Annie's hair, her body cuddled into her side. "I missed you," he said softly, pressing a kiss to her crown.
"Say how you really feel," snorted Annie, running her fingers through her bed partner's chest hair. She felt the replying rumble.
"How was Seattle?" he asked next.
"Cold, wet and rainy," replied Annie. Tilting her head up, she caught his gaze. "Did I mention cold, wet and rainy?"
Jimmy grinned before they broke into simultaneous laughter. Tumbling his blonde haired woman, Jimmy rose above her.
Taking in her features – memorising them in a rare serious moment – he then smiled and leaned down to kiss her.
Her arms around his neck, their legs tangled together, they both held on to the other for the ride of their life... never to be parted again.
Finito.
