Here I sit in my lonely room,
- Waiting all day for you;
Waiting for your shooting star,
To plummet out of the sky so blue;
Like a forsaken child, I wait for you,
To return once again to this place,
And take me up in your big, strong arms,
In a warm, comforting embrace;
Years have passed, since I last saw your face,
Outlined by the setting sun;
When I saw your eyes, for the very first time,
I knew, then and there, you were the one;
You were the one I wanted to love,
To hold in my arms forever,
But I knew that our love could never be true,
Not now, not ever…never…
You were rich and I was poor,
You were handsome, charming, and smart,
And as for me, I was ugly and dumb,
And knew I could never win your heart,
Because of these facts, our love could never be,
My life, heart, and soul were shattered;
But still I dreamt, and loved you each day,
For nothing else really mattered,
You took me in when I was weak,
Into your home and out of the rain,
You tried so hard to take away
My stress, my sorrow, and my pain,
You gave me light when my world was in darkness,
You lifted me high when I was feeling down;
Nothing can change the way that I feel,
Never in a sea of tears will I drown;
You kept me from doing stupid things,
You kept me from going insane,
And there is still one thing I truly want,
But sadly, your love, I could never gain,
The years passed us by, and when you had to go,
On a journey to the new frontiers,
I bowed my head in melancholy,
And mournfully cried my tears,
As I watched you go, take to the air,
Flew like a bird into the sky,
I made a vow that I would never break:

Years have passed, and you haven't returned,

And your blond hair, and sapphire eyes on me?
Perhaps you are dead, my beloved prince,

So, as I sit here alone, in my secluded room,
Locked away from the world outside,

My love, my tranquility, my pride,
I sit on my bed, thinking of you as always,
Crying silent tears in the night,
My pillow is stained with the tears I cry for you;
Through the dark and the shadows, you are my light,
But your light is gone, blown out long ago;
All of a sudden, the door opens wide,
I slowly turn to it, and find you there,
My light in the shadows, back by my side,
You walk up to me, your eyes glowing bright,
Your skin, in the moonlight, as white as a dove,
Then you take me in your arms and kiss me good night,
We are finally together, my one true love.
