Why hello there.
Girl Meets Texas is really pulling at every single one of my heart strings. I'm definitely a Rucas shipper, and I sincerely hope that it's how it plays out.
But I also understand Riley. I've had my fair share of relationship issues with my own "Lucas".
So, in my turmoiled, heart-broken state I'd like to share with you this piece of writing. Do enjoy

He watches her because he's enchanted. She reacts because she always does.
Riley doesn't want to get hurt.
So it seems natural to let him slip away between her sunshine painted nails and let him hold her best friend. She obviously wants him, and he would do anything to make her happy.
And Riley can see the sparks between them, the embers and the flames. It hurts like a sharp knife pain against her chest, until she's breathless.
This is the story that she wants. This is the boy. This is the love. She believes that he can do anything.
But Lucas has never fought fer her the way he fought for Maya Penelope Hart.
Blond beauty.

The class voted best couple.
She can't believe that she was so blind to all of it, because it was so painfully obvious that he wanted her.
He told Maya that she looked beautiful. He couldn't stop staring at her with her golden waves and deep blue eyes and the texan attire that clung to her and made her feel so different and wonderful. Riley watched his eyes and was almost proud, almost flattered, deeply in love again.
But he was looking at Maya.
Always Maya.
The good girl never wins. They want a bad girl. They want to make sunshine and rainbows for her.
Riley isn't jealous.
Riley is only scared.
So she pushes him away, punches him as hard as she can because she doesn't want him to hurt her. She loves Lucas too much, too, too much.
She hates the taste of those words on her tongue. She doesn't want to love Lucas, but she can't help it.
So, she push all the overwhelming feelings away, because she wants a forever story with Lucas.
And once she's started she can't stop.
She has to push Lucas and these feelings and love away, because if Lucas really loves Maya more than her it will hurt when he leaves.
So she breaks her own heart and smiles.
Because Lucas Friar is her brother and he'll always be there.
And he can't hurt her (because she already broke herself).
