Letters To Annabeth
Annabeth P.O.V.
"Hello Annabeth, did Percy call you over?"
Sally Jackson, Percy's mother. She was a very kind woman. She always puts everyone else in front of herself. Her warm, chocolate brown eyes sparkling with love.
I have known Sally my whole life. I live across the way in the building next door. She used to babysit me when I was a toddler. Her son, Percy, and I have been friends since, well forever.
I could smell the delightful scent of her famous chocolate chip cookies. Sally also owns
Sally's down the street. It is extremely successful, which makes her very well known here in Manhattan. Percy had called me over so we could work on some advertising stuff for her.
Percy and I had begged Sally to let us be her advertising manager. She was a little hesitant at first because we are only eight years old.
"Yeah, he wanted to work on some more ads," I responded.
"Okay darling, and while you're here I've been trying out some new recipes for my cookies, do you want to try it out?"
"Yes please ma'am."
"Ok I will call you guys out when their done."
I walked through the large home to Percy's room. Sally did an astonishing job decorating her home. It is very open, she has her off white colored kitchen, brown carpet, and a light green paint in the den. Everything is gorgeous.
I made it to Percy's enormous room and was disappointed by what I saw. He was sprawled out in the middle of the floor coloring on a small piece of paper in front of his risen bed. He had clean clothes on his bed, waiting to be put away, and dirty laundry littering the floor. I had just cleaned his room.
He must have been in deep concentration coloring, because his eyebrows were furrowed and his tongue stuck out a little as he it down on it.
I crept up behind him shouted, "Earth to Percy!"
He jumped up a bit and said," Cheese Annie don't do that." I had gotten used to him calling me Annie years ago.
"Okay, what type of ads are we going to do now?"
"Well I was thinking we could call Grover and do a commercial…"
10 Years Later…
"Annabeth, there's a letter here for you from Hickory University?" Sally Jackson had called. I started panicking, I had applied for HU to become a detective several months ago. I can't believe I am finally hearing back from them.
I ran out of the kitchen and towards Sally. I snatched the letter out of her hands and ripped it open faster than a cheetah running a marathon on steroids. I skimmed the first couple of sentences. I think i am going to start hyperventilating.
I got in.
I got in.
"Oh my God. I got in," I said.
"That's amazing!" she responded.
"I know. Where's Percy I've got to tell him," I said, the shock wearing off, replaced by excitement.
"He's in the freezer."
I took off to the back of the store to talk to Percy. I nearly ran into him.
"Guess what!" I practically yelled.
"Okay first, please don't do that. Second, what's with the Joker smile. And third, what?" he asked tapping his left ear slightly.
"Remember when I told you I applied at Hickory. Well, turns out I got in!"
"That's amazing Wise Girl," he said. Right then he did the most romantic thing I've ever seen in the movies. He picked me up around my torso and spun around in circles while kissing me. I wondered when he got so… sweet.
